i really am a descendent of Black Elk. my family is from Pine ridge SD. I have pictures of the old man standing next to my Grandpa Frank Fools Crow and my moms dad. we're all Black Elks. and walk with the Channumpa. some times it will get heavy and we get tested in life but we keep walking with it for the future grand children. we carry on the ways for them so they can call up on us for help just like how we call up on the holy ones for health and help.

I watched your KOTA posting, and it is one of the most important messages out there. A future generation of wise and gifted people will be in jeopardy if suicide on this scale continues in Rosebud. Because the Lakota hold onto their traditions and heritage so strongly, they are made to suffer under the stranglehold of an oppressive government. We need to give the future back to the Lakota, and BEG for their forgiveness.

Very beautiful. This is how people should think. "We belong to the Earth, the Earth does not belong to us." That's a very well done and meaningful video. ^^
