Tony and Jenny, this has to be one of your best videos. This port looks so good. Lots of shade. I am not a smoker but I think there should be a smoking room on every ship with good ventilation and comfortable seating. You both look so relaxed. Happy cruising.

On the top deck by the sunset bar where the cigar smokers are. My hubby and I love to sit up there and spend time and hang out. Then, one deck above the casino...there is a smoking area that everyone goes up to, from casino. I met so many amazing people out there. No judgement! I tend to smoke on a cruise or when I'm at casinos locally. We have some great casinos in CT!

We were on the NCL Epic in March. Smoking section was scarce. They did have some in the casino but not a lot. It is good for those of us who do not smoke but son-in-law does. We were in the Haven so usually went up to posh for him.

Costa Maya is my favorite port in the western Caribbean. My hubs and I went a year and a half ago on MSC and we went to the Mayan Ruins. Our tour guide was so knowledgeable and the people were very friendly. It was a bucket list excursion for us.

One of my favorite places to go in Costa Maya is Maya Chan. It’s all inclusive and the food is amazing. Love the glass blowing. My hubby is a blacksmith. I would love to see that on a ship. Hook making!

Jenny I’m also a smoker. I think smokers get different reactions from non smokers on different cruise lines. Like on Carnival its never a problem or treated weird by non smokers. On NCL its pretty much the same, but don’t know what its like on others. But I would assume that lines like Celebrity, Princess, Costa, and all those others that are the higher end lines it would be kind of awkward and you would feel like the non smokers would give you the stink eye🤨😏! As long as you stick to the smoking areas and don’t smoke on your deck, no one should ever give you attitude. Well I’m loving the videos, bang up job guys!!!!

The port area has a Disney feel and I am impressed by all the entertainment options. I have never heard of a pool at the port. Your video quality is top notch!

Maybe try Azamara? Std balcony room on the small side. But really nice. Balcony is like 42 sq ft so big. Shower has a glassish door. Some basic drinks, beer and wine included. Tips included. Food amazing. Much smaller ship. Like 700 passengers.

Went to Costa Maya two weeks ago and went to Maya Chan about 25 minute taxi ride from the port. I enjoyed their hospitality but that water was disgusting g. Sea weed galore and a sewage odor. I think Costa Maya is a port stop now Cozumel and Mr. Sanchos! That place is amazing

Hi Jenny and Tony - firstly, thank you for the vids Just back from our first cruise and loved it so much we have booked another ! Jenny, I feel your pain re smoking. We live in UK and cruised the Baltics with Marella cruises, on the Explorer, (they belong to TUI group.) I was pleasantly surprised at the availability of areas to smoke on board. There were 3 great places to smoke all covered . Marella cruises are aimed at the British, so not sure if it's cos us Brits are predominantly smokers, or what. But it was greatly appreciated by me. And as a smoker it kind of does factor in deciding who you will cruise with. Not the deciding factor, obviously, but it is in the back of my mind, especially as the cruise we just booked is 21 days ! Jenny, unfortunately for us smokers it is getting really hard. The very first cruise I was on we could smoke on the balcony. It might be an incentive to quit before Europe next year. I'm trying, it's way harder than losing weight, and I'm trying to do both.

When we went there before it was basically a dock and like a Mr Sanchos type all inclusive beach experience. They did have a few excursions to the ruins. It has really grown. Reminds me of Mahogany Bay on steroids!

Unfortunately trying to give you a lot to do in the port of Costa maya also makes it a tight squeeze when there are a lot of ships in port. We went in late April. Our plan was to explore the port but it was so hard to move around we just returned to the ship. It would be really nice with less traffic.
