Good for Chris and John! I've been a vegetarian for 24 years and I can't say I blame people for eating meat. For me it doesn't really matter what people eat, as long as they know where their food comes from. That being said, becoming a vegetarian is just a natural reaction ;)

Nobody wants to be judged or told what to do. However, it's natural when someone is passionate about whatever it is they believe and you don't have that same viewpoint to feel threatened by it and take it personally. Not every vegetarian is trying to change you. For most of us it's personal choice. Keep in mind what John said at the end of the interview-"think for yourself". Randy is one of my favorite vocalists, but I sure as hell wouldn't eat a big bloody steak just because he said to!

I remember when I first became a vegetarian, it was to impress a vegetarian girl. Now I am going vegetarian, since I got my dog, I really feel a sense of affinity with animals. Can you imagine murdering a little lamb or a little baby cow? Man, I would like to think we as humans have evolved enough to forego the taste of meat for the higher road of not murdering. Lions and tigers eat meat because they are animals, we don't need to eat meat and certainly not in the quantities that mcdonalds provide us.

I eat meat, but I like a lot of vegetables as well, so in definition, the more vegetables you eat, the more healthier your life will become, and its true.

I would like to agree with what Adler said about not needing to develop the ability to eat meat, but we have so many alternatives here that might be hard to come by in other places. My question is, if you were born and had lived not ever eating meat would you know what to do instinctively if your non-meat food sources were suddenly unavailable and you were literally starving to death?

If they're in smaller record companies they'll get smaller funding, so they might not to be able to afford tons of shit. If they're indie bands, they'll need to buy all their stuff, but they'll get a larger cut of sales, so that could go either way.You're right about tours, it's more about tours than records now money wise. I think LOG will have a bit of cash to themselves now cuz they're HUGE. but I think all of them have working wives, which makes a difference LOG are on pretty big labels now

I don't need to justify anything to anybody. I make my own decisions as do you. The difference is I live & let live, you on the other hand expect everyone to bow down to your opinion. To answer your "curiosity" (more fuel for the fire?) Oreos are vegan, butter is not. Anyone who calls themselves a vegetarian and eats fish or shellfish needs to look at a dictionary. I've been vegan for 9 years, vegetarian for 4 years before that. No regrets...

a vegetarian by definition: "a person who does not eat or does not believe in eating meat, fish, fowl" Therefore, people who eat fish are not vegetarians, no matter what they call themselves.

To say that a child-molester or a serial killer should not be killed is the height of naivete. Most molesters were themselves molested as a children, so basically they are just creating more potential molesters (or even worse, a serial molester/killer) every time they abuse. A woman who was molested is far more likely to be attracted to molesters than the average, thus subjecting any children she has and any they might produce to the same abuse she suffered.

they have endorsements deals and such are given a lot of gear that is how they get the amps and such. when they started and had no endorsements they would of had to buy their own gear. they don't have to buy their own gear anymore

You don't really know how the record industry works. When a band is going to record a new album under a label. The label gives them a sum of money ahead of time, and they buy all the equipment they need, like instruments and amps. It's not out of their personal money. Tour organisers will provide money for intruments up to a point. They'd have their own instruments before getting signed but not tons of amps and drum sets
