Wow, Peter, awesome workshop, and skills.I have noticed that you using lathe from Czechoslovakia. Not sure how old that machine is, but looking at bi-lingual data plates, it must be 70 years old or even older.I was born in Czechoslovakia and we are a very proud nation of engineers.I'm an engineer too, working and living in New Zealand currently. When I saw your lathe, I couldn't believe my eyes. Just amazing. Keep up good work. Pavel

Cooling? If running on water based cooling system then there is water coolant radiator based additive concentrate liquid by Dupont Chemicals USA sold in a mini bottle which the content of the bottle can be poured into the water cooling radiator and then turn on the engine to leave it running for a while... cold start. But if a boxer engine then no water cooling system, of course.
@GerardPedrico4 жыл бұрын
Point is... Dupont Chemicals USA keeps innovating in engine cooling based chemical concentrate by tweaking the chemical compound structure... something something like that lah.
@GerardPedrico4 жыл бұрын
New kind of cooling system for the Gallardo? Water mist-vapour cooling system by having the water mist sprayer inject a whiff of cooling water mist directly into the cooling fans of the Gallardo's "boxer engine". Tripe cooling system: air fan cool based, oil based additive cooling system, and water-mist-vapour cooling system? Cool.

Looks great! Looks like we got the same intercooler pump. I put mine in the front, and the reservoir in the back. I also used a splitter with AN fittings for the oil pressure to the turbos. Can't wait to see yours on the road! Thanks for all the help.

Why cant people just accept that these are two different builds at different costs done by people with different backgrounds instead of shiting on the guy just having fun in his garage. At the end of the day his car runs and the content is interesting, if you've watched any of his videos you'd know he certainly knows what hes doing and is more than wiling to admit when he's unsure or has a question.

Peter thanks for the idea on the fittings. I went ahead and bought a set for my Supra for the twin fuel feed lines so that I can service my 6AN filters without spilling fuel in the garage and upsetting my wife 😂 I may get some more for the coolant hoses to the turbos so that it doesn’t drain my coolant when I need to pull them out of the car to get to other stuff. Very neat.

TheProPilot how expensive were they?

Ryan Bernard $245 to make 4 connections. So kind of pricey but it seems worth it if they flow the same as any other 6AN fitting. Testing will tell.

Superleggera is a trademark owned by Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera s.r.l., the modern incarnation of the firm that patented the system in 1936. Notable automobiles. Carrozzeria Touring licensed the superleggera construction system to Aston Martin, who designed and manufactured superleggera bodywork for the DB4 and DB5. Tanks for interesting videos!

When driving hard ..the problem with V10 might be oil starvation when the engine is put off. When starting from cold again the crank with low lubrication will damage the crank-bearings. In Aviation engines it is common to have an oil-pump continuing operation for some minutes after the engine has been stopped...... Would be a good modification?
@garrethollister21556 жыл бұрын
Hey Peter, Love these videos on your Lamborghini, all the technical bits that go into a project you never get to see. I have a question though. You say that vibrations are killing the sensors for the oil pressure on the engine. Can you remote mount the sensor off the engine so it doesn't deal with the vibrations of the engine? I know tha'ts what people have done on Evos since that was a similar issue with the sensor actually breaking off of the housing. Common logic tells me it would be too far away to be feasible, but I figure I'd ask.
