I'm going to be even more demanding. Let's go back to retirement at 60! Start with a stop on tax favors to corporates, and the rich. Then let's tackle all the abuses in the social security system.😡😡😡

Honestly, in this case I have to disagree with the idea that he is somehow abusing power or his authority simply because of the fact that there has to come a point when a leader has to lead and this was clearly one of those situations. He was just making the necessary and responsible decision.

he doesn't have to bounce back, he can not run for a third time. and the pension thing, he did the right thing, but french will see this in the long run. he just saved the country. but the french are blind. but it will come in time. and he will be thanked..

He could easily tax the top 10% and mega corporation who is making billions of dollars. But nope we have to make the poor to the day they die so they don't a chance to use the pension and funnel tax dollars into the Rich's pocket

Did he? It's a kind of thinking that never bothered to seek another option than to raise the age. Macron never considered other ways to fix the crisis. He was always set to recklessly raise the retirement age.

@@EmpereurNapoleonex Unired Stares and all other advanced countries are at a loss on ways to fix this financial crisis. From listening the people being interviewed, they are complaining about how this was brought about. So, they agree that this should be brought about. Instead of wasting time, they need to move onto the next target in reducing the burden of financial crisis we are faced with. We don't have time. I am disappointed in French people. I used to admire them. I guess every country has all kinds no nation better than the others.

I tend to think the majority of the French people are on the left or more accurately, s bit left of center. But the various parties and coalitions bicker and each put forward innumerable candidates, which fragments the vote and leaves the field to well unified fascists. The process does not seem to be producing quality political candidates. Somewhat similar to Israel, where the country has ended up with a horrific far-right government. Such a shame that the people are not represented by someone who really reflects their political perspectives. France makes the same mistake as we have here in the US, having an overly powerful central executive. This causes government to be quite arbitrary. If things revolve around the idiosyncrasies and psychological vulnerabilities (most unfortunately the tendency to become corrupted by power) of one leader, once in a blue moon one finds a true statesman, but most of the time one gets incompetence, mediocrity, or a person with authoritarian impulses. Not much can be done about it. Governments rarely reform or re-style themselves. They may evolve a long periods of time (and historically at least, this trends in a direction that reflects the will of the people) or be overthrown by revolutions, and the later usually result in something worse than what proceeded it. France will probably have to go through a period under la Pen (sic). The dialectic of politics will take over from there and the left/center may have better chance to reclaim the political power in France.

the problem with democratic elections is that voters are getting shoehorned into the illusion of choice between a false dichotomy. voters are often faced with the dilemma of voting AGAINST (something or someone that must never win, for usually obvious reasons, like being the far right), so the only "choice" the voters have is to vote for someone (anyone) they think has the highest chance of defeating who they are voting AGAINST. once you realize that behavioral tendency, it becomes quite easy to manipulate people to vote for someone, by presenting candidates they would vehemently vote against. problem is : voting for ANY candidate at all IS THE TRAP that guarantees the iron law of oligarchy. coz even temporary, allowing the FEW to create, pass, and execute legislation and budget allocations WITHOUT REQUIRING THE APPROVAL OF THE PUBLIC, allows those FEW to usurp the mandate of the people and often times go against the will and the interests of their constituents. which is why the natural evolution of democracies, should be a semi-direct democracy. political power of every elected official is quantifiable. (ie : the percentage of their constituents who voted for them) hence, the political capital required to veto their policies should essentially just need to be greater than that politician's quantified political power. ie : if a president only received 50% percent of votes from nationwide, then all you need to do is get 51% of voters to veto his policies. this system should ensure that no politician, can EVER disregard the will of the people. they do not "rule" over the population, rather their political power is just the equivalent of consolidation of votes for the people they represent.

It’s wrong to say it wasn’t voted in parliament. They made it a confidence motion and it was passed by parliament. The EXACT SAME principle applies in Westminster system parliaments. In Canada where we have frequent minority parliaments, the govt can call any bill a confidence vote

constantin barbu , a lingivstic historian that helped many countries to complete or give answers to their puzzles regarding their old manuscripts showed the whole world that romania is the only country that has manuscripts older than 2500 years. He showed on your language ,history and lingvistic history that romania is the oldest country. Now ,before orthodox christianity romania was pagan. One of the apostoles of Iisus Hristos ,named Andrei came 2023 years ago in romania and since then ,romania became orthodox. church of west ,catholics and Church of east ,orthodoxy ,were toghether for 1000 years but ,the church of west went in herezi and they put head of the church as pope. Orthodoxy did not accept that beacause head of church is Iisus Hristos. In 2016 they made ecumenical sinod for all other denominations(sects)along with catholics to unite with orthodoxy and have head the pope. Today orthodoxy is split in two : one is ecumenistic One the real and only true faith ,wich is for 2023 years ,wich still has Iisus Hristos as its head..s
