Thank you for the content. I'm an ATPL integrated student living in Spain. I'll finish everything in a year or so (MCC on A320 included). Lamezia is my home airport (1 hour from my house). I've always flown from here since I was a baby, probably I've departed and arrived here more than 100 times. I cannot wait and hope to takeoff and land here whenever I'll start working as a pilot. Thank you again for the amazing footage.

Every time in your videoos, when you say "Runway in sight" I always look for it, too, and never see it in this moments :D Love your videos. Keep it up! :)

Thanks for the good feedback! The videos are produced in 4k quality and the cameras have a really good resolution. But our eyes have a much better resolution. We say "runway in sight" as soon as we see it. It may be even very very far away. Lots of times it is much earlier than you can see it in the videos.

Great video again. The scenery of the farmland as you approach is very clear and interesting - from wind farms to olive farms! You seemed to be the only plane at the passenger terminal, so I guess this is not a very busy airport.

Thanks for watching and the good feedback! I agree, the scenery looks very interesting. After we did the approach, I just said "Wow , that was a really nice approach with spectacular views". Before, our landings were usually on runway 10. This is also nice, but almost the complete approach is over water. At the day as we recorded the published approach, we also planned originally on landing runway 10. This would have been a shorter flight distance. But due to the increasing tailwind, it was not possible. I never had been there with lots of traffic. But this does not mean something. As most of the airports, they also may have a peak period with more traffic.

Wunderschöner Anflug! Ein Anflug auf eine der kanarischen Inseln wäre bestimmt auch mal spannend, z.B. Fuerteventura oder Teneriffa.

8:33 I was always wondering whether the applause from the cabin is actually audible in the cockpit or not. :-) Nice video!

In regard to the applause, my observation is that it varies: With the noise reduction headsets and the reinforced cockpit door, less audio from the cabin finds its way to the cockpit than years ago. But if the passengers give a good applause, it is still audible in the cockpit.

Super Video, vielen Dank! Freue mich jeden mal über die KZbin Benachrichtigung wenn du wieder ein neues Video gepostet hast. Du hattest in einem Video mal das PFD eingeblendet, was sehr interessant war-wäre das vll für zukünftige Videos möglich? Eine Frage noch: bei 2:41 meint der APP Controller „Radar Service terminated“ - warum? Der Flughafen ist doch IFR anfliegbar?

Vielen Dank erstmal für das gute Feedback! Ja, es wird definitiv zukünftig weitere Videos mit PFD geben. Das geht aber nicht immer. Das betrifft auch die anderen Kameras. Zukünftig werden - laut momentaner Idee - wann immer möglich 5 Kameras zu sehen sein plus - falls möglich - der Sidestick. Es ist korrekt, der Flug war IFR und der Lotse hat das so - wie von Dir beschrieben - gesagt. Das könnte bedeuten, dass der Tower kein Radar hat oder zum Zeitpunkt der Aufnahme nicht in Betrieb war. Das macht aber nicht viel aus, da kaum Verkehr war, wir einen Visual Approach geflogen haben und der Lotse sich vor Übergabe an den Tower noch mal von uns bestätigen lies, dass wir die Landebahn in Sicht haben. Darüber hinaus kann der Tower den Verkehr (auch IFR) ohne Radar separieren auf Basis der Positionsangaben der Piloten und natürlich - falls möglich - seiner Sicht zu den Flugzeugen.

I Just discovered your channel and have happily subscribed. Wondering the reason for disconnecting the auto thrust on the approach as opposed to letting the computer do the work?

Thanks for watching and your feedback! The pilot flying has the choice of using the autothrust or not. During this approach, I decided for manual thrust. We have to stay proficient with autothrust on and off landings. After several autothrust on landings, I did this one with autothrust off.

@@ApproachandDepartureVideos - Ty very much for the clarification. I see you are also a big fan of the bird . I fly the narrow body Airbuses in home simulation and have managed to learn a great deal. I have to learn to fly the bird more often. I also hand fly as much as possible. Happy contrails captain!

Herzlichen Glückwunsch zur bestandenen Theorie und weiter viel Erfolg! Bezüglich manual flight/manual thrust ist es so, dass der pilot flying entscheidet, ob er oder sie manuell Gas gibt oder den Autothrust benutzt. Airbus empfliehlt die Benutzung des Autothrustes in allen Flugphasen. Auch, wenn manuell oder Raw Data geflogen wird. Bei CAT3-Anflügen im Nebel ist die Benutzung von Autothrust vorgeschrieben.
