Jill, one amazing review. I really enjoyed your review of the third seat. Extremely honest and a usable review.

When I was a kid I LOVED sitting in the 3rd row and yeah adults sat in the second row. Idk why everyone who reviews 3rd row SUVS THEY THINK THEY ARE SUPPOSED to fit 3 NFL line backers or else it’s a terrible suv. IMO a 3rd row is only for say two kids and middle row is for the adults. Unless you’re a small adult. Sure it might be a small downside to the defender but I’ve driven them all the 130, Yukon, Tahoe, QX80, and Armada and I’ll tell ya what…. Nothing drives and rides like the defender. The steering is smooth, the ride is luxurious yet off road capabilities are superior to all. It’s def not without its faults but it’s a phenomenal suv imo.

I have that same question. It's a standard feature of all.Defemders sold in the USA.

Thank you for acknowledging that the 3rd row is for small humans, not 6ft plus tall humans like a lot of other reviewers that cram themselves into the 3rd row and talk how about how untenable it is. I too am a small human and I have sat comfortably in many a 3rd row so “grandpa” could sit up front.

My child would get to the third row, without moving the second row in a heart beat!

thanks for your review.I was contemplating purchasing, but accessing the third row is important to me. They need to do a captain seat option.

My wife and I checked out a 130 a few weeks ago and were completely appalled by the lack of front seat leg room. I'm 6'5" (opposite problem of Jill!) and it was not comfortable at all. Very disappointing in a vehicle of this size. They need to take some interior space lessons from the Germans, my daughters 2017 (old gen) Tiguan has way more leg room.

If you want 3 rows...just get a minivan or a full-size passenger van. Plenty of room for everybody. Done. They really need to stop trying to cram a 3rd row into everything. It typically means less space for the 2nd row, which is more important, and 3rd row seats in these things are largely useless. At least with the Outbound version of this SUV, they delete the 3rd row altogether.

Because minivans look stupid and they don’t have the capability that this does

If you want room, you buy a Suburban. You can drive them for years and years with 10% of the issues Land Rovers have.

It looks like my 2010 Ford Flex. The leather seats in the Flex look like much better seats. I doubt you will get 350 thousand miles on it like my Flex has. I all so doubt it will get 22 miles to the gallon like my Flex.

Once again the assumption is (and it’s always made by Americans) that because the L663 is a 6 cylinder it’s a V6. It’s not, please get your facts right and inline 6.
