Did you add an extra spare wheel or did you relocate the spare wheel to free up space underneath?

Adding extra one makes sense...but moving it, if you are not crazy offroader...doesn´t to me...

With the tire carrier ready, did you ever consider the installation of a second diesel tank under the car in the place of the spare wheel removed, in order to have more range ?

No there is no need for that right now. In Europe, there is a gas station every 10 kms. And a lot has changed about this tire carrier since then. In Germany, and western Europe, where we travel, you don't really need two spare wheels. 🙋‍♀️Vera

Well, our main goal was to take a second spare tire, since we had a flat last year offroading. Then also, when on an offroad trail or track with uneven surface, it will be hard to get the spare wheel out from underneath the car. 👍🙋‍♀️ Vera

Why you decided to move spare from the best place it can be, to everyday pain?

If you get a flat in the mud or while stuck over an obstacle, you can’t get to the spare under the car. It’s good for road only. I also carry two spares this way (on Vacation only). Thanks !
