13:10 you can't tell dB by the height or thickness of the antenna. That said, the shorter the antenna, the worse your range is for any dB. The 'spread' emits from the centre of the antenna. The longer the antenna, the better the 'spread', for any given dB. The thickness is just protection. You can mount an old car radio aerial on the roof platform and get a good dB depending on where you're travelling. Just ask any good 12V sparky. It's the difference between $500 and $5

Really liked this one due to the fact that he just loves the connection to the bush more so than all the gadgets on his troopy. Also at 6’2” it would be so annoying having that sticker across the top. I’m 6’3” and there is no way I could put anything there. One question... how can you run 315’s on a 2’ lift and not get scrubs? I run 305’s neg 35 and they scrub for days. Awesome work to both of you.

Bug out vehicles UK Although I’m not 100% sure, I don’t think you will have any problems registering the vehicle in the UK considering the fact that Gibraltar is a British overseas territory. The vehicles are obviously brand new and RHD. But you can easily find out from Toyota Gibraltar if you can import and register the vehicle in the UK.

Stock standard troopy was THE most go anywhere vehicle I’ve been in. I have owned many 4x4 vehicles, and to show my stupidity, I still haven’t owned a troopy. Still have 2 Toyota vehicles; Sahara 16/ purchased 17 demo- shopping trolley... And 11 single tray back with a Innovan camper ; heavy, need a brake upgrade ASAP! Legs and free vehicle with campsite saved 👍🏻 The single cab with Innovan is amazing. Have it chipped; go is hold on ; stop is oh shhhhhh. ahh Brake upgrade is top of to do!

Hey Ronny, what’s the regulation with extra indicators in WA because looking at that tuff bar, at most angles you’re battling to see the front blinkers if they were on..... you don’t require extra blinkers down on the bar anywhere ? Just curious that’s all.
@12cm324 жыл бұрын
Be aware; if you are travelling from Perth to Broome, and you’re from the East of Australia or vegetated areas of your home country, you may feel depressed because this is a rather desolate area for a long time. Take many breaks at left turns to beaches etc if you can and your vehicle is able; it relieves the stress of non vegetation. You will understand if you drive it.

Can either or both of you guys tell me how often you've hit a roo sufficiently hard to warrant a bull bar? Not having a go, genuinely wondering how important a good bar is ( aside from mounting a winch ).
@colinfwalters4 жыл бұрын
Others I have done 200k on country roads over the last seven years and only hit one. He went under the front wheel missed the bar. I slow down at night and in areas that have a lot of wild life. That said I would not be without a bull bar, you won’t want to hit a black cow at night on a lonely desert road without frontal protection.
@Bennyboy-dog4 жыл бұрын
@@colinfwalters Thanks Colin. I've done a fair amount of travelling and with over 400k country driving and 40 years, I've hit a couple of wallabies (ABS saved my front end and the creatures hopped away after been given a good thud and leaving teeth marks in my plastic bumper), but that's the some total of it over 45 years, so I wondered, do I have to spend top $ and get the strongest bar, or can I go down a notch or two, knowing the cheaper options will bend easier etc., but still, I figure my chances of actually hitting a roo or large animal at speed are pretty slim for me. Wanted to test that idea, hence the question. Again thanks for the response, it kind of supports my current view - perhaps an aluminium unit or even one of those plastic ones to keep the weight down substantially. Don't know, I could be full of shit! :)
