We were enjoying the stroll in the quaint scenic town across the lovely bridge when you mentioned the tragic tower story. Hope it's not true! Beautiful square, market, and gorgeous buildings surrounding it. Interesting seeing the cannon ball. Is a wash house the same as a out house? Interesting design and in such lovely gardens too. The Nazi Cemetery was interesting to see. We let someone higher than us sort out their fate. Also the Polish man. Thanks for the wonderful tour with a such a sad ending. A lot there to unsettle!

The cemetery was rather unsettling bit totally unique on the world. The town was lovely and so much remains to be explored there. Thanks for watching

Hi Alice this was another beautiful place and I can't remember the names to say what I liked! But that water wheel sounded amazing and I agreed that cake is better than bread 🤭The architecture is so beautiful and the inside of that church/ cathedral was wonderful . Love the buildings here and interesting to see the cemetery and great that there is a castle too :) ~ Anna

A most moving video, I have just read a book called "The Sisters of Auschwitz" by Roxane van Iperen. Just the title of your video sent me back into that book. The architecture here was again, very impressive. Love the style and the fact it oozes history. One can almost hear the hoeves of yesteryear on the cobbles. A great 'escape' and travel adventure Alice. Thanks for the share. 👍🙏🇳🇿🙋♀🇳🇱

I think it is important we do not lose our humanity, in an alternate universe you or I would have ended up as a prison guard. We would like to think of ourselves as incapable of evil, but this is sadly not the truth.

Yes. Our lives could have been very different. We should all learn from history and remember.

Why don't you make some more videos based on NUREMBERG Trial related to World War II . , as because the most execution took place at Landsberg Prison , which is the base of this video . Secondly another interesting video could be NUREMBERG Rail Museum , which is one of the oldest Railway Museum in the world , contrasting with old conventional mode of transportation with modern technological bases Railway system . I am from INDIA , & very much interested with all the related information as well as documented truth about the second WORLD WAR .👍

I have two videos from Nuremberg on my channel and yes I do plan to make some more. I have visited the Nuremberg Court room where the trials took place. I have also visited the Nuremberg rail museum, which is excellent. I plan to return and make a video from the museum plus other transport museum. All these will be on my transport channel, so please subscribe there also. Thank you for watching.

Excellent video, Alice :) My understanding is that the graveyard for executed nazi criminals in the former British Zone of Germany has had all its gravestones removed so that neo-nazis can't go and worship them. Interesting that the one in the former American Zone still has grave-markers. Maybe these markers, too, should be removed so that that horrible era of Germany's history can drift into the past, leaving those creatures to be forgotten? Today's Germany is such a very civilised country. Those nazi animals don't remotely represent what Germany has become. Maybe they should turn this area into something useful eg one area that's a playground for children, one bit could be a multi-religious open-air prayer site, one bit could become a little café, one bit could be a public lavatory and one bit could be returned to the kind of woodland that would probably have been here in the time of the Duchy of Bavaria?

All the graves are the same so that the occupants remain anonymous. I understand that the graveyard has been preserved as a reminder to Germany's history. Quite a few places around Germany are opening up about their past. I have a video coming soon from the remaining sights in Nuremberg. Thank you for watching and commenting.

What is special about the cemetery shown in the video is that there are also victims of the Nazis buried there. So it might be difficult to make a playground or something like that. Some years ago, all the name plates were removed to prevent this graveyard from becoming a place of worship for neo-Nazis. Greetings from Landsberg

At the Spöttinger cemetery, the nameplates on the crosses were removed to prevent Nazi pilgrims from using the cemetery as a right-wing place of worship. Victims of the Nazi regime were also buried in this cemetery together with their murderers. Greetings from Landsberg

You are right. Such a shame that the names of the 'good people' lost their grave identity. One of the more interesting cemeteries that I've visited.
