I can understand your reaction to the scene you stumbled upon. Stunning location. I look forward to seeing your return visit. The long exposure panorama was quite nice. You were able to bring the water in successfully. As you are a person who likes to get out well ahead of time before a sunrise I was wondering if you have ever captured a moonrise as the sky was beginning to glow for a sunrise? I quite unexpectedly had that experience on the 4th of July. I wanted to get to my location early to be prepared for the sunrise and to my surprise the moon was up and the glow of the sunrise was on the horizon. Just a crescent moon but still a quiet nice scene . Beautiful images as always.

Cheers Keith, and yes I've been lucky enough on occasion to capture a moonrise and sunrise at the same time. I've not had them in the best positions for the composition though... if I'm out there long enough I'm sure the stars will align 😂 (pun intended 😂). Have a great week 🙏🙏🙏

Lovely Izzy. Not sure I would tackle the long stay in a cave( unless it had Netflix.) Looking forward to the water shots of the stack.

I would have been excited also Izzy, it's always nice to find something that really jumps out at you, great location but watch the water. Nice shot of the extra light hitting the stack and foreground rocks. Loved the image at 20:05 as well as the images at the end of the video. Thanks for sharing this with us and hope you have a great week. Good luck with the planning and hope the cave is high enough.

Cheers Ross, I was ecstatic... I think you could tell 😂. I'll have to scout out the other side of the stack and possibly shoot that first. That way I can gauge how high the water actually goes before I commit to 10 hours on a rock shelf. I hope you have a great week too 🙏🙏🙏

Wow, what a location and your usual adept and able renditions to show it at it's best for those conditions. I hope your plan to photograph it at high tide come to fruition. All the best.

An amazing fund and some really beautiful images, loved the 'mini' pano. Your plans for a return visit sound challenging but I'm sure you will take all the necessary precautions so I'll look forward to seeing that. Great video, thanks for sharing and have a great week

Thank you ever so much Ralph, I really appreciate your support. I was pleased the long exposure pano worked out... photoshop stitched it like a dream (no issues with parallax but a slight 'bowing' over the water that I had to correct). Hope you have a fantastic week ahead too 🙏🙏🙏

Great explanation, demonstration, instruction and practice as usual Izzy. Apart from the fact that they make me feel lazy, I really look forward to your videos. Cheers mate.

Cheers Terry, although laziness is the one condition I didn't wish to evoke with my videos 😂. Have a great (and idle 😂) weekend 🙏🙏🙏

What a great find! I can't wait for you to do that little sea stack at high tide - just LOOK AFTER YOURSELF! We NEEEEEEED more videos..........I was looking at the sunrise while you were taking the stack and hoping that you would do that as well. But I shouldn't have worried, you wouldn't miss that opportunity! I love those images at the end too. Take care see you next week.
@IzzyAbuleelaPhotography4 ай бұрын
Thank you so much Helen, always a pleasure to have you tag along. I'll be careful I promise... I'll probably take the stack from the other side when there is a high tide as there are many more routes out. That way I can also judge how high the water reaches where I intend to stand. Have a great week 🙏🙏🙏

Really loved the images , and the way the earlier shots used the rock striae to seemingly drag the eye to the subject. Noted.😊 The final image though, just took hold of me. Like others, I'm very much looking forward to your return to the location, and it was wonderful and a relief to hear you putting safety first. (Fishermen could take note of that approach...) I'm not sure I could "hole up" in a cave for up to 8 hours... although I could easily watch the sea for hours.

Cheers buddy, if you liked those striations you should see the rock formation I actually came to shoot (and didn't in the end) it is truely beautiful (I can't shoot it until the sun sets further to the left in the video as it was completely in shadow). I can't wait to get back but safety first and foremost. Hope you have a great week M, thanks for tagging along 🙏🙏🙏

Well didn’t you have some fun. I thought at one stage you were about to take up extreme ironing (when you were describing Shoot 2) and then I thought the only other man I know who was obsessed with caves and shadows was Plato so you may yet become the platonic photographer Great stuff dear chum

Beautiful. Please don't do owt daft when re-visiting. Although the water would be a great asset to the photos it aint worth risking life and limb. Lots of battery on the phone and a spare back up charger...anyone would think I was your mam! Take care Izzy and thanks for taking us along on your exhibition 🤣

yes! i actually managed to watch one of your videos shortly after its release. at this rate, in around 2 years time I'll see one before you upload it. or maybe not… when you do the "risky tide" shot, as well as a route out please, please also have a contingency plan - either a second route, or as you said the means to sit it out in warmth and safety if you should get caught out. could even turn it into an overnighter and grab some astro? the image @ 13:15 is beautiful. I don't think you could have asked for better light 🙂

😂 I might have to wait a couple of months for calmer weather as its winter here. That would make it easier with the overnight temperatures too. I would also have to scout out the other side of the stack, that has plenty of safety routes out, so I might do that shoot first and then I can assess if the water covers the ledge I was standing on. Take care of yourself Nick 🙏🙏🙏

I’m inspired by all your images and appreciate the explanation of the mechanics. Of the baby sea stacks, I like the black and white on the rocks but the sky lost something. As for safety have you considered a life raft with a long rope?
@IzzyAbuleelaPhotography4 ай бұрын
Cheers John, good point on the mono image. As for a raft that's an idea... it would depend on the swell as it could be more dangerous than sitting tight. have a great day 🙏🙏🙏
@juanitakelly30824 ай бұрын
Well, I thought that was brave enough with slippery rocks and then you start talking about your grand scheme!! You might need a rescue boat to haul you out of there! Maybe just some drone work would be more sensible, though I know you wouldn't be happy with that!! It's an exciting goal but not sure the risk is worth it compared to all the gorgeous shots you already get. Take someone with you? I think I actually do prefer shorter exposure over streaky clouds sometimes, but that black and white was sure the contrast winner of this series wasn't it!
@IzzyAbuleelaPhotography4 ай бұрын
Thank you ever so much Juanita, for your support and your words of wisdom. I will probably reach out and find a like minded photographer... if I can find one mad enough 😂. Glad you enjoyed that black and white as that was one of my favourites too. Have a great week 🙏🙏🙏
