Great episode Matt! I can't wait to get back up there this fall. Love my Freewell filters too. I've got the K-2, and they're awesome, but I pretty much only use the V 2 CPL+3-7 ND because it's a lot more compact, though not quite as versatile as the K 2 system. I use the K 2 for all my commercial cinematography work though, that's where it really shines for me.

Matt your videos are always pleasing to the eye/soul, Grand Teton National Park is a beautiful place I'd say anytime of year ,Shoot Sony A74, Sony and Sigma lenses 👍

You are too kind thank you very much. With beautiful locations like the GT and YNP, its easy to share images and video 😄. Sony A74 very nice! I use the A7c for most of my video work. Sony is so light compared to my nikon lol. Thank you for sharing!

Great video and photographs! I stumbled upon your channel and subscribed. You do a great job explaining your style of composition and gear too. I especially liked your description of the aspen tree shot and the different color layers, raising the tripod to catch the scene, I would have not even thought about that. I visited the Tetons 2 yrs ago in the fall and I hope to come back again this year. Thank you for doing this video and your photography tips and also learning about the gear you use is very helpful to the photographer community.

Thank you so much for your kind words and support! I'm thrilled to have you as a new subscriber. It's fantastic to hear that you found the tips helpful, and I hope you get to visit the Tetons again this year for more photographic adventures. Cheers and happy shooting!

Absolutely amazing video as always. The flow and way you make the videos and teach is one of my top people i follow and watch. Thank you for doing these videos. The filter set you talk about isnt in the equipment list in the info of this video.

Like your channel. I used to Use Freewell Magnetic ND filters, but moved to Kase Revolution as 1) I got horrible service from Freewell, 2) the magnets on the filters were just too weak. 3) they stopped making the 72mm UV magnetic base, 4) it was just easier to stack and pick out the Kase filter I wanted to use.
@MattShannonPhoto9 ай бұрын
Thank you for liking the channel. Great feedback on the Freewell Filters. I have not had that issue yet but that is great feedback to share with myself and everyone else reading the comments. Did you own and their K2 filters or was that an older version? I hear a lot of great things about Kase Filters. Before trying out the K2 Filters from Freewell, I own and use LEE Filters. Expensive and they have collars and mounts to hold their filters so not a quick to set up and remove but I really like the quality. Thank you again for your time to share! Cheers

@@MattShannonPhoto I have not used the K2 filters. That system just seems too big and cumbersome for me. I was referring to the original Freewell ND filters with a simple magnetic base and round filter. I also found 1) their magnetic caps did not hold very well, and did not fit correctly within the 100-400 lens hood opening, and 2) their screw on UV magnetic base exhibited significant flare when shooting towards a light source. I did, however, like the color rendition of the Freewell filters very much. I use a UV base on some of my lenses. So far, I like the Kase better. With their internal magnetic ring, I can use any brand UV or clear base. The Kase R-MCUV filters with the internal Revolution magnetic ring work very well on the lenses I have a UV filter on. If I stack ND filters, I’ll take that off and screw on the external magnetic base. I also love the way I can stack the magnetic filters with a front and back cap and just stick them in my pocket.
