Your paintings are so much more beautiful than the actual scenery! I love your choice of cheerful colors and take on the small objects and details without being overly so. Very talented and love the enthusiasm in your explanations! Thank you

This is a magical painting, Becky. You manage to achieve so much with such humble materials! Love watching you work and listening to your commentary - would love to join your live sessions but the time zone difference between Australia and Canada is just too difficult. You have generously taught me so much through your free KZbin videos; thank you!!!❤

Beautiful work, Becky! Interestingly, we have the opposite daily weather pattern in the Cariboo region, north of you. The mornings are usually bright and sunny and the clouds roll in in the afternoon. Also, we don’t get enough precipitation.

Awesome. Thanks. The difference between urban sketching and plein air ... concern with a mass of details.😊

I love the way you find unique scenes to paint. The traveling to and from seems like one big adventure!

This is a very complex scene! 40 min of drawing... I loose focus and get muddled after 10 min when drawing many outlines and details, in front, at the back, on different levels...Inevitably I end up with a very different simplified outcome. You are masterful, and have well trained eyes. Practice!

Hello to my favorite artist on KZbin! I am finally feeling better after a set back with my health. I missed seeing you paint and this painting is lovely. I love the warm colors of the sunny day and like how you painted all the trees in the background. I learn so much from you! Take care Becky

Love the videos Becky! You have inspired me to start sketching my surroundings again which im so thankful for! Wondering - what type of paper are your sketchbooks? Hot pressed or cold pressed? It seems the watercolours Drys so quick! 😊 Thanks!

Thank you! I'm using the Etchr mix media sketchbook, cold pressed paper.

Very nice. Is the towel slightly wet or dry for effective cleaning of the brushes?

Hi Becky, I saw you used a lot of burnt Sienna. Do you prefer PBr7 or PR101 type of pigments?
@BeckyCao7 ай бұрын
I just use the burnt Sienna from Mungyo. I'm not sure what you mean by PBr7 and PR101 types. I'm not that picky with paint types. 😅

I notice a pencil sketch in your book. Do you sketch the whole scene first and then add ink?
@BeckyCao6 ай бұрын
Yes, I did a quick pencil layout the major elements in the landscape, then do the detailed drawing on top.
