On the pillar toppers, I think black to match the gates would be really stunning and elegant. Especially if you’re putting gold touches on the gate and also on those toppers. I think it’ll be just a really stunning combo. Everything‘s looking so beautiful you two! Fantastic!!

Edd and Anna, I wouldn't seed or sod that sliver of earth along the driveway wall, rather, I'd put a weed cloth down with a mulch topper, then plant blubs (Spring, Summer, Fall), shrubs, bushes, etc. Something fragrant like Jasmine or bougainvillea---whatever is native or hardy to your region of France and can stretch out and tower above the wall.

Paint it Black with Gold highlights but remember to be very very generous with the Gold Highlights, black can be a big void, so adding heaps of Gold highlights on the gates and the top urns will look incredible

Paint the urns basic cream. Trim the edges with taupe, brilliant yellow, and gold. I would put in either red or yellow flowering plants.

Paint the gate tops to match the gate colour with accents of gold, I hope you are going to tile the driveway in front of the gates, and why don't you use part of Mt. Ed to form a small berm to give the pool area some privacy from views from the street through the gate. I would have put another course or two on the front wall or at least top it with some wrought iron that closely matches the wrought iron on the gate. Looks great Anna and Ed.

I hope you all have a party when it’s all finished before you decide what will happen to the project. It’s deserves a grand party for all the amazing hard work you have both done. I was speaking to my spouse about doing our own swimming pool. He looked at me like I was crazy. I’m going to show him your videos of the pool production. He needs a digger. Edd loved his digger! It would be a blast!

Edd, do you do consulting to give some advice on at least starting the pool? We could even dig out the whole and buy a fiberglass insert to add in. Instead of paying someone to do that part, we could do that.

Melina I don’t as every build is different and I’m not sure on the process for pre built fiber glass pool insertion. I prefer to say no when I don’t know!!

@@BordeauxLife thank you. I was thinking about digging the hole. I think it would be cheaper for us to dig the hole. I’m not fully decided on the pool yet. We have had the kind you have and a pool with a liner also which is quite nice on the feet! The fiber glass was a thought.
