I Have been using Lanox for 8 years now. I buy it in a box of 12 at a time. Use it for everything. It is by far the BEST product I have ever used. I have had a small bubble of rust in my gutter mount for 10 years now. I spray the bubble every time I wash the car and the bubble has not spread at all since. It won't make it go away but it has stopped its progress. Have fun on Fraser mate. I was lucky enough to use a hoist before my trip. BEST Product on the market guys.

Been doing this on my vehicles for years now. In my experience the standard Inox MX3 for all engine bay work at any time or just prior to a trip. Also carry a can in vehicle at all times. Keeps you engine bay protected and looking schmick! I find the LANOX MX4 a pain in the arse under the bonnet as it leaves a waxy coating over everything. After a while shit keeps sticking to it and over time your under bonnet area always looks dirty - way overkill and too hard to get off. However I also agree with you - definitely LANOX MX 4 for all underbody/chassis use - 2 weeks prior to any big trip on the coast or anywhere for that matter. Keep that stuff away from your brake discs as well! (keep a can of brake cleaner handy when applying LANOX) For the benefit of readers who are planning this - It’ll drip off the vehicle for a while too. Best to do it out on the lawn or somewhere else other than your own clean driveway.......(you’ll thank me for that tip alone when you try it for the first time) 👍

You can also mix fisholene and peanut oil in a 50/50 mix. Whack it in a spray pump and give the car a good soak. The fisholene stops rust and the peanut oil makes it creep everywhere. I have been putting it on my 4WD’s for 30 years and never had any rust problems.

Very late reply but the answer might help others. CT18 will not harm your paint work but it will remove any wax or polish that is protecting the paint, so it can make your paint work more vulnerable. So it is safe to use CT18 to wash your entire vehicle but it would be in your best interests to apply a polish then a wax once the vehicle is dry. I use CT18 on my rig but I only use it on the engine bay & underbody during normal after trip washing. I apply new polish & wax to my rig twice a year & it is important to remove the old polish & wax coatings BEFORE re-applying so it is at this time I will wash the entire vehicle using CT18 purely as preparation for applying new protective coatings. Aside from that twice a year treatment, I use a wash & wax product to wash any painted surfaces. This has worked very well for me over many years & my 4wd, which spends half it's life on beaches, has no rust that wasn't there when I bought it. Not bad for a 30yr old vehicle that is prone to roof rust.
