these tractors (diffent models )were imported in India in 50s, and were found in an area abt 80 kms south of Delhi. close to Bijnour , used mostly by Sikh farmers who had settled there after partition

Quite the beast! I like how it runs forwards and backwards, must be weird when driving it.

Its basicaly running zero rpm. Meaning the crankshaft doesnt pull off a complete rotation.

Not sure, but I believe later models that have the reverse gear do only have a one-way oil pump, so prolonged backwards running is not recommended.
@Rainhill18294 жыл бұрын
Yeah I haven’t had a chance to look over a late model toward the end of the Lanz era but it wouldn’t surprise me if they changed the design at that point.
@metamaggot5 жыл бұрын
I suppose it doesn't really matter which way the engine's turning if you have just as many gears each way..although you probably have less strain on the gearbox in forwards motion because of the reverse idler
@Rainhill18295 жыл бұрын
That's right, some early models did not even bother with reverse gears, you simply ran the engine backward.
