@Joe Blow It better be true for my daughters!! When I meet the new son in laws, I want the first meeting to go like this: "So, this is my company parking garage. This is my spot. My Father founded this company many years ago. It's ok, security. She's with me. She's My mother in law. So ma'am let me introduce you to my employees and then we'll go up to the 12th floor so you can see my personal office space. There is a running track on the roof to burn off your obvious excitement" That is an optimum son in law.

I cant buff them, you like what you like. no way I'd have recorded that conversation though.

Depends on where she's from. If from the north, more they say their mind Than the southern ones, who are more reserved and obedient. I don't think they are more committed to their family than the husband. They can't just "let go" of strong family ties because of upbringing... Filial piety. Criticizing is one Chinese way of making u better, think of it like a "wakeup call". Yes, they remain loyal till the end unless you renege on your responsibility as a husband

A lot of people retain childish view of maturity and attribute "seriousness" as a main property of maturity. Real maturity is about fully developed brain and life experience, which allows to understand complex multi-level links between causes and consequences on others. Mature person agrees to take responsibility more frequently because of this understanding. It is not about not-doing something crazy, but about understanding.

All the Chinese women I have dated wanted a rich guy with a good house. After a while, so as not to waste time, I told them on the first date, "I am not rich and I have an old house." It saved me a lot of time. Sometimes they would say they did not want a rich man but they really meant I need to make over $100K per year. Rich to them meant millionaire. I only made $50k. However, they all said I was super nice and very kind and funny but that was not enough. They were all honest. (There was one exception. She was rich but was very mean. She got mad when I told her I could not take off a month because I only had 2 weeks vacation. She had a real temper and I broke up with her.)

On the humor thing, in my experience, there is the 'funny guy', who can make a joke for any situation, standup funny, the class clown. but if you can make a small private joke for your girl, that tickles her sense of humor (which probably means your on the same wavelength as her), your probably gonna do OK with her. almost the more private the joke is the better. an observation that you find funny and that she also finds funny, probably hints to alot more other compatibility.

I met a really nice Chinese woman and we just talked and laughed about things. She would ask me for advice not and again and I would just give her what I thought made sense. Then I realized I wanted more but was not sure what she wanted. So I asked her to marry me, expecting her to tell me she only wished to remain friends. That is when she screwed me up, she said yes. Shock not what I was expecting and then I thought - now what! Chinese women are so sneaky, just like fishing you wait until we have the hook in our mouth and then - caught. And we love being caught.

About the study, i'd advise caution, while it does show some facts known for a long time in psychology, only 60 couples is a really small sample, it's likely it's not a random representative one, given how small it is. Many social science studies in the recent years have, for ideological purposes, mainly marxist infiltration (intersectionnality and all the woke garbage), used very dubious samples to make conclusions. They mainly used small non random samples of white middle class urban people, this is not on the par with the standard of scientific testing and statistical analysis. So the data may be skewed. But many of these conclusions actually makes sense if you think about women's psychology in light of evolution, and the effect natural and sexual selection have on the brain which is the source of the mind.

Chinese women don't like men who show anger in public. My wife certainly doesn't, and at least one Chinese woman friend I know dislikes it very much, even what I consider normal amounts of openly expressed emotion. That may be a gender thing though...my mom didn't like it when dad lost his temper. Chinese women don't appreciate humor, though that may be a cultural/language difference. Chinese humor and Western humor are so different, and humor that's not slapstick/physical depends on nuanced language. I need to frequently remind my wife that most of the time I'm joking, or being sarcastic, or ironic. My wife finds physical humor funny that I think is borderline sadistic. She shares examples of Chinese humor that fall flat with me. People are commenting here on the importance of money. Let's be honest. Money has been important to all women in the past. Now, not so much perhaps, especially in the West where women are more self reliant. China is catching up in that regard I sense. As Chinese women become more like western women, the bad boy/nice guy thing may become more of an issue....bad for the nice guys and maybe bad for Chinese women.

My Chinese ex husband is on his 3rd marriage . His wife #3 was 50. She had a small retirement and he had next to nothing. After 50 these requirements drop. Under 50, women even in thier 40's can still have very high standards if they look good and have a very good job. All Chinese women want men to at least make 2-3 x more than them so they can quit thier job after marriage (if the guy is a foreinger esp).

Alex Tan-I would take issue with that last part: “after having bad relationships with woman”. It shows a deep insecurity that one is deciding to avoid pain due to a personal experience. I would respect mgtow more if it’s based on preferring to actually be on your own or it’s being some spiritual journey of some sorts.

@@joshboston2323 As a woman, I would think it is. Don't see anything religious attached to it. Cause in religion, if according to bible, reproduction is the purpose of marriage. MGTOW don't encourage that if it's telling men to go their own way.

I think we can't generalize. Our surrounding determine our view on life and relationships. I was brought up in totalitarian regime and came to US as young adult. I distinctly remember my shock when I re- read Somerset Maugham's The razors blade in English, 10 years after reading it for the first time in my original language. The way I related to characters in this book was so drastic from my initial reaction that I literally couldn't read anything for months. I couldn't wrap my head around how it was possible for a person to change SO much! Where 10 years ago I was outraged by this guy's selfishness... to ask her to give up lavish life and parties, social events and so forth...what an a..hole..yes she was right to leave and marry a guy who was willing to shower her with money, even if it was not her love! Lifestyle was definitely worth it! Fast firward to me living in different society where I could support myself and my family doing what I loved to do. Different ideas emerged...completely opposite reaction to the same story! - OMG ..give this dumb materialistic shit up! A loft in Paris, wine and free conversations with artists ..what can be better! A point I am trying to make - we do things to survive. We adopt. If Chinese or Russian or American women acts like money is the most important thing is because it IS at this particular time for her physical survival. STOP generalizing..things are not that simple. If you were hungry for a bit..you eat and go back to normal. But if you were starved, especially as a child when your views were forming, changing your relationship to food is Very difficult, even if food is in abundance. Some people were never hungry (metaphorically) some were starved, some were severely deprived. There is an old saying that person who just ate will never understand a hungry one. I have seen 'hungry' people of ALL races. So if people from one country are acting in certain way, its not genetic or racial. Its economic. Just like a point you were making in your videos on good samaritan activities in China. People in Taiwan act differently :) That is precisely what I am talking about. Just look at history of how these people had to survive and you will understand why they behave so differently. I know what it means to be afraid and to look another way because its the only way to survive. Fear is what drives it, but that is way too much to cover in one post :) Sorry for such a long post..if anyone actually made it to this apology:)

I wonder why it is that Vivienne does not seem to want to compliment her husband when he asks about himself? Is that a cultural thing, where a Chinese woman will not respond to a “fished” compliment, or does she actually not think her husband is particularly good looking? I think he is quite handsome, and it makes me kind of uncomfortable when she balks at confirming to him that she finds him attractive. If she does not think he is attractive, then that is sad. Everyone needs ongoing confirmation from their partners - it’s part of good relationship hygiene. I have been married for 45 years, and my sweetheart and I still tell each other how hot the other is to us, if not every day, then at least every other day. Her husband apparently feels insecure enough about it to think that he has to ask. If a couple are keeping their relationship nourished, neither ever has to ask. Confirmation is always there. Come on, Vivienne, if you love your man and your relationship, let you man know it. Don’t make him beg you for your compliments. - A subscriber who watches and enjoys your videos.

Well....I’m 40 years old, retired out of the military and have been dating a woman that is 9 years older then me... It’s been 3 years and we are still dating...I’m going to be tying the knot in January... She has her own business... She also don’t care what her parents think... Her kids are grown... My kids are grown.... It’s not about money... Believe me....if you’re a good man that is successful and does good..you are attractive I still run 3 miles in 17:49 I run a few 1/2 marathons and go to the gym I also speak 9 languages....thanks to the US military...it’s easy to communicate to her. I have been to 56 countries and 48 US States....thanks US Military I was deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan for 8 years total....been blown up, shot and stabbed...yes I’m still alive and kicking ass. Of course the women coming over from China don’t want to come to a house or apartment that is nasty and hasn’t seen cleaning in 5 years... They don’t want to worry that you will be a brokedick and not get them a few things here and there... It’s a basic thing for sustaining a relationship and the woman to be sure she won’t be going to a foreign company and be a homeless woman.... Think you damn knuckle dragging cavemen..!!! Don’t be a slimy fucknuckle..!! It’s simple, but a majority of you fuckers make the simplest thing too fucking hard..!! Maybe it’s because I have 4 college degrees....a stable civilian job and take care of my own...still able to travel when I want... I will be retired 5 times when I’m 50 years old... I’m currently 40 years old Any questions..!!!

I'd say that, based on knowing plenty of SE Asian women, that SE Asian women in general find "playing around" to be a huge turn-off, whereas in Western societies if a man has not demonstrated his ability to have success with a fair number of (but not TOO many) women, that man is considered less worthy. The men who can't get a woman turn up on youtube and post misogynist comments all day.

In Japan, traditionally they had arranged marriages, love should come later. Not lovey dovey, romantic stuff either. I think having kids, continuing the legacy is most important in Asia. In fact, Japanese hand over their whole salary to wife, she manages home, doesn't work, focused on family and man receives an allowance of a couple hundred dollars.
