Fun fact: they met in 1995 in NYC after David had been informed that there was a Belgium/Canadian young singer who was able to hit the G5 in chest/mixed voice, he couldn't believe and called her to arrange a meeting between them, then Lara sang a song acapella for him and did a G5 in chest/mixed voice effortless, then he decided to introduce her to Barbara Straisand, whom is one of her idols. He invited Lara to a restaurant in Boston and secretly also invited Barbra. Lara said that she couldn't believe when she got in the restaurant and saw Barbra and David waiting for her, Lara was 25 years back then. Years later Barbra called Lara and asked her to make a cover of Lara's songs called Broken Vow, which Lara said YES, but Barbra decided not to do after been informed that all the money would go to Sony Music and not to Lara, because Lara had broken her contact with Sony after the company have boycotted her in the USA just to promote Celine Dion instead of Lara in 2001.

​@@THEREALONE52I like David Foster very much, but his lack of humility annoys me! He's talking like if he wrote that song for Josh, but this song is from Lucio Dalla, in 1986. Josh sang it for his second album, "Closer" (2003), but Lara sang it before Josh, for her "Lara Fabian" (her English album -#3 - because her first album, in French was called the same, but the songs are different), in 1998. 😮

Important information: Lara had just performed a whole concert in Moscow, where she sang 19 songs, and without resting, she flew 12 hours to Los Angeles, and without rehearsing with David Forster and his orchestra, she stepped into the stage and sang Caruso and a duet with Michael Bolton (both songs without rehearsing) just 20 minutes after landing in the USA. We can notice from her face that she was very tired, but she still delivered everything, as usual. Thank you for another reaction of our Diva. ❤ Hugs from Brazil.
