This started out as a video of Lara singing "Je t'aime", but it quickly became a video of Lara being serenaded by her fans. "Je t'aime" (I love you) became "on t'aime" (we love you).

Fans learned just before the concert she was going through really tough times and responded to her by changing the lyrics. She's singing 'I love you', there going ahead of hear by repeating "We love you" time after time. Most beautifull message of love I've seen from a public to a singer. Concert was in Paris, at the end of 2001.

yeah as a romanian i can understand about half of it. As an Romanian after 3 months in Lille i could speak french good enough and understand it 90%. The only problem is that i can read French .. but frak me if i can write a single damn word of it :)

With Lara's performances, you must always wait till the video ends, not the music. Otherwise you can miss out on things like the love flowing between her and her audience at the end of this song, and the performance of Je Suis Malade at the end of her Lara With Love performance, where for a good minute or so after she stops singing, you can see how she is still caught in the emotion of her performance.

"Je t'aime" is one of her first biggest hit in France, perhaps the biggest ! Lara has been unlucky to begin in the same time than Celine Dion . First concert of Lara Fabian after the death of her loved one - Grégory Lemarchal. She walked out on the stage but could not start singing. That is when the audience stood up and started singing. Everyone in the hall will sing the song but change the words in it. "Je t'aime" (I love you) for the first time will be changed into "On t'aime" (We love you). Her producer Rick Alisson, who is accompanying on the piano, will say: "Look... you were saying you had nothing to live for... Live for them... for people..."

Wrong! This concert was on December 2001. And Gregory lemarchal died in April 2007!! And there's not was in love! Sorry for my English I'm Belgian and I speak French. Faux!! Ce concert était en décembre 2001 (j'y étais) et Gregory lemarchal est mort le 30 avril 2007!! De plus, ils n'étais pas du tout amoureux, ils se connaissaient à peine ! À part quelques rencontre lors d'émissions de tv notamment "star academy" que Gregory a gagné. Au moment de sa mort Gregory était en couple avec Karine ferry une animatrice télé française. C'est bête d'écrire des conneries qd on ne sait pas..

OMG !!! What kind of crappy story is this ? That's so wrong... So fake !! Grégory Lemarchal and Lara Fabian were never a thing (a couple or whatever). He was way younger than her (yeah , i know.... Love has no age) and he had a girlfriend (almost fiancée) back then. So your story à deux balles là.... She's a singer and the whole crowd was singing for her "We love you" and all the song. Of course she would feel touched. Get your facts straight, bon sang !

Well, Wiki says she was in a relationship with Patrick Fiori beginning in 1998, then Gerard Pullicino in 2006 (and has a daughter with him) and she married Gabriel di Georgio in 2013. No mention anywhere on Wiki or anywhere else that she was involved with Lemarchal.

Nothing to see with Lemarchal indeed. Lara was caught off guard, not because the audience sung, but also and mainly because they sung “On t’aime” (We love you) whereas the song title is Je t’aime (I love you). Basically the audience told Lara they love her. Hence the very emotional Lara. Even though she’s known to be an emotional person (by her own record).
