At times, you say that Lara Fabian is like Dimash, but really, it's rather the opposite, it's Dimash who is like Lara because he is younger and he is inspired a lot by Lara Fabian ahah :)

That was fantastic , unbelievable performance. I like Dimash, but he’s always trying to hit those high notes. Lara becomes the song, she’s always in character. Je suis malade is the perfect example

Here I am again sir 😉😆. I always come back to you, because I share your wonderment of this lady Lara Fabian. I now have listened and seen a whole lot of her talent on various stages( literally) . I am even more in awe, you might call it idolizing, but I always come back to this “From Lara with Love” concert which had to be THE BEST concert that year of all the concerts. Each song was masterfully performed! Anyone who was lucky enough to have witnessed this concert had a lifelong gift to remember. My favorite song has to be Adagio!! Like you Jeff, the way she sings it it literally makes it hers and hers alone, that high note is astounding, I turn up the volume to hear the clarity even more. I absolutely LOVE music, and dint find anything without it. This song, the way she sings it, the way she allows us to appreciate her epic talent is beyond any worthy description. Each time I play this song it’s like a first time, wheee I shake my head after that grand finale. I also have heard Ms. Fabian Italian version where she performs it outside, I believe in Italy, again my mouth and my eyes opened wide, when she hit that high note! I also got the goosebumps. I absolutely love that version of “her” song as well. As you can see Jeff, I’ve been babbling, but since you’re familiar with that I don’t feel so bad,😆. I also found a version of a jazzy Je t’aime, which a adore. Her voice speaking or singing, is so soothing at times, I think that’s also hè gift fir us to enjoy. It made me very sad when I learned about her ear accident in 2000 something where she had to take a rest to recover, I was shocked to learn the details. I’m guessing that her will to sing, to perform, had helped in her healing. Anyway Jeff, I wanted to watch your grading again if my favorite song, just because. Then I thought, I’d keep you up on my I continued research of our Lara Fabian. Thanks for “ listening “.. Oh, I also enjoy watching hér on the talk shows. You can really see how much they appreciate her, how much they adore her.. 👋👋👋👋😊

😆😆😆 ha ha ha I don’t blame you for yakking away, I did the same, when I first heard her, Ms.Lara Fabian . I didn’t even know she existed, until I heard Mamma Ya, by accident. I loved the voice to this beautiful melody, and wanted to know who the singer was. Up popped her name, I picked this song, of all the titles I saw....... and booom! My mouth fell open, literally. I played the song over and over. Never heard of her, and wondered why? I did some more research. I was flabbergasted why she wasn’t known here in the states. Anyway, sir, (now I’m going on and on🤣) I have become a life long fan, as if two months ago (2021). I play her music constantly, she is truly a gift to the music world. I’m hoping I can watch her live, that truly would be a treat!!

Dimash is a very good singer, but he still has a lot of work to do if he wants to be able to carry his audience into the emotions of a song as well as Lara Fabian does. Because Dimash tries to bring the emotion by his technic whereas Lara Fabian feels emotion to share it, not to prove how good of a singer she is. I truely believe that Dimash will come there one day, but he needs to stop "proving" and start "living" to achieve that. You speak about confidence : I believe Lara Fabian definitely lacks it in her self perception, but when she is on stage, it's different. She pours her heart and soul in the songs, she forgets herself in the performance. And that is why it feels like she earns the stage. Because when she perfoms, she is the stage, the music and the song. She is not Lara anymore. I am not a fan of Lara Fabian but the more I see of her, the more I am impressed. She is one of the best live perfomer that ever existed, no matter if you like this kind of music or not.

I completly agree with you Laure. As good as Dimash could be, he will never give me the same emotions than Lara does when singing this song or even other songs. Lara puts her soul in all her performances and she tells you a story when Dimash's perfomance is to show that he has good powerfull voice. Lara is the best for me without comparison.

Her second by second intentionality married to the astonishing facility & ease is what awes me. She makes extremely difficult things seem effortless, which I much prefer to those performers who go for baroque (😂, couldn't resist, sorry.) Fabian can drill down and bare the pulsing emotions of any song in a way I can't, at the moment, think of anyone else to match. If you haven't yet seen her Je Suis Malade from this concert, I would plead for you to resist your tendency to prepare (a compulsion I share) and do a first-time reaction to it (the vid with both English and French subtitles has best translation, and the poetry of that song, imo, is integral to understanding her choices.) Great reaction! Cheers.

😅 That's a bit harsh. Dimash might do funny things with his voice and impress people. But yeah... Personally I do not like his voice.

Dimash is great but Lara has owned this for years. Dimash does nothing for me all I hear is his vocal gymnastics Don't get me wrong he has an incredible instrument but there isn't a lot of soul or depth to it.

Agreed! I'm so tired of every Lara reaction video having to compare to Dimash. He's all style and no substance, in my opinion. Yes, he idolizes Lara, but don't we all? To me, he's just a poor carbon copy. Let him sing his own songs, and stop comparing the two. She's in a totally different league that he (and almost every other person on this planet) will never reach.

At last someone who think the same way about Dimash !!!! Great technic no emotion ... she’s 50 now and her voice is still on point !

I hate when people compare Dimash to Lara just about as much as I hate when people compare Lara to Celine! It drives me nuts!! Lara Fabian is in a class all on her own!

As he matures he is becoming more musical. His showboating gymnastics is what many get hooked on (and they're out of this world) but I believe he wants to be considered an artist in the long term.

Oh come now, nobody does this song like Lara , I just wish reactors would stop bringing up Dimash everytime she sings, there is no comparison in technique, vocal ability, vocal range and emotion. Lara is the queen hands down. ❤

Je suis Québécoise comme Céline Dion et Lara a nationalité Québécoise mais Lara elle a une voix plus veloutée que Céline et chante avec tous son corps et surtout elle écrit ses chansons.

Thank you for this analysis (this might be a more accurate title for your "reaction" videos...some people use that term and clears us confusion right from the beginning. Dimash has brought a lot of attention to Lara, which is a good thing, but comparing or even speaking about them in the same context is like comparing apples and, well gold.

Adagio in G Minor, please look up the composition's history.. it's origins are in mid 18th century, then restored in 1945 by a classical trained musicologist.
