This song is indeed not a cover but an original of hers. It had been #1 in the US Club dance billboard for 58 weeks. A big hit for Lara in the US. Following this success, Sony wanted her to specialize in the pop dance lane and move away from the ballads, they wanted to protect their prominent artist in the ballad domain (under strong pressure from the staff of this artist). Lara refused and it triggered the breakup between her and Sony, and therefore Lara was banned from US music scene (almost no tv shows, no ads, no radio, no venues). And this until the contract with Sony was terminated a few years later. Lara had to refocus on other countries where she was already a superstar: France, Russia, Brazil, Belgium, Eastern Europe and Central Asia.

Lara is still very active, her voice still grandiose , her look spectacular, She,s got a new world tour starting in april 2024, mostly Europe and mid/Asia after in June its in Canada Ottawa, Montréal. Québec city and Trois-Rivière, I've got my tickets for the 2 shows in Montréal, can't wait. Last night dec 29 she was in Ryad special guest for “ARAB STARS NIGHT”✨
