Hi. Yes the video is Great...but the live version from Lara with love( 2000 )is untuchable. Lara is always at her best live. Keep them coming.👍👍👍

Adagio is an italian word, that means "Slowly". This is also used in music to define the pace of a music (a bit slow, between lento and andante) and also as a name of a piece of a sonata, concerto or symphony that is using that specific pace. The music from this song of Lara Fabian is a pop translation of an italian classic piece called "Albinoni's Adagio". It was written in 1958 by Remo Giazotto who was an admirer of Albinoni, a musician from the 17th/18th century. He claimed it was from him and gave his music this name but there is consensus today that he most probably has composed it himself. The classic music piece is globally famous and there were many different translations into different songs, with different music compositions, mostly operatic, and different lyrics (the band Renaissance, Daniele Licari, Sarah Brightman and Sissel Kyrkjebo for instance). But the most famous version, by far, is Lara’s version: it was translated into a pop song for her, she wrote lyrics in italian then co-wrote the english lyrics for it and is the original performer of these 2 versions. She kept the title Adagio and wrote a story with a double meaning: a woman that is awaiting to find her love / an artist that is awaiting the god of inspiration. This song has become a classic and has been covered by many : Shirley Bassey (!!), Dimash (Lara is his absolute idol and he covered several of her songs), Floor Jansen, Polina Gagarina, Dmitri Hvorostovsky, Julie Anne San Jose, Charice Penpengco, Giulia Falcone, Laura Bretan, Il Divo, Rimar, Vitas, Anastasia Luna, Evgenia Fanfara, , … They made great covers but none of these match the amazing storytelling performance of Lara, or her ability to use vocal subtleties to be in sync with the music, exposed in her live from the concert From Lara with Love. kzbin.info/www/bejne/mKLShGCBhLGJlZY Her italian version is also amazing. Lara est considerer comme la personne qui retransmet le mieux l'émotion d'une chanson. Ça voix,son visage,son language corporel et ses respirations exagérer en font une artiste unique. Concert lara from love, broken vow, adagio,perdere amor, caruso et you're not from here. Sache que lara est l'idole de dimash et une inspiration à beaucoup d'artiste. Elle chante dans 12langues différente et parle couramment 5 langues . Masterclass dans le contrôle de ça voix et la manière exprimer l'émotion.

thanks for returni g to Lara. I echo other comments that the live version of the From Lara with Love concert is really much better in terms of emotion. And this is a golden rule for all her performances... always prefer live version. Thanks again and looking forward for more. Worth to react again to Adagio live. Believe us😊. Ciao

Normally i always recommend the live performances from Lara too, but there are some exceptions for example, Par Amour, L'Oubli, and Llora, with these i find the official videos better

She wrote the lyrics in both English and Italian, off of music by an Italian composer. She has spent much of her adult life living in Canada, and I believe that English is her first language, though she speaks Italian, French, Spanish, and I believe Russian, although ultimately she speaks in fluent emotion

Her first 2 languages from age 1-5 are italian and french, english 6 yo and spanish around age 11, i may be wrong by a year or two for the spanish language, she s also almost fluent in russian and portuguese and sings in 12 languages,,,, surely the first human AI singer.

I see where many comments tell you the 2000 stage performance (From Lara With Love) is the one you should have reacted to. And you respond with, basically, "Thanks but, I'm doing this my way." Good for you. And, after listening to this version, I can understand why you might think it couldn't get any better. But, it does. Just sayin'. BTW, I can only listen to "Je Suis Malade" about once a year. It drains me, emotionally. I can't bear to watch her suffer like that. Also, "Je t'aime", from 2001 "Live In Paris" is the goto performance for that song even though the audience sings most of it and it's very emotional. Thank you for your great reaction. If i may suggest, always react to Lara's live versions. For some reason, she is much more intense. As you probably know by now, she sings in many languages, and the majority of the videos have translations...use them. Some will have a short intro before she sings. View those as well as they are quite interesting. If Eric Sicard comments, read him as he is a bag full of info on Lara. Keep up your good work.

Thanks so much. But I do think music videos have their place too. I really don't think the same level of understanding is often there for live shows as music videos. Certainly the ENERGY and EMOTIONS are more there for live reactions. That said, I feel they both have their place 😄

You need to do the live version from the From Lara With Love concert. There is no comparison. Lara's live versions are always far better than the studio versions.
