Absolutely! Thank you for letting me know her last name, I couldn't remember it at the time of filming. I have sent her a message on FB to let her know what a fan of her work I am. Hers is so much more refined and beautiful than mine but I had to give it a shot. Thank you for the comment!

Your welcome! I just found your channel today. I love what you do and will watch more of your videos to learn more. (And of course subscribe!) I am new to working with alcohol inks but love them. What level of heat do you use? I tried my blow dryer ( and have some “burned areas”).

Hi loved watching your vids, thanks for sharing your process and really appreciated your comments and clarifications, I have just returned to Alcohol Inks after playing with Acrylic pours.... FUN.... but tiny flat and big mess created mayhem & disharmony! Have been keen to try Resin my art but concerned about disasters and the smell in my small space. I live in UK so my supplies might be limited. Any words of wisdom for me to get me experimenting?😊

Where did you get the white masonite? I thought masonite was brown. Duh. Love it
@ArtistTillDeath7 жыл бұрын
Haha, I have so many "duh" moments in my days lol. I got it from Home Depot in a large sheet - cut down to 4 sheets. It's in the wood section.

This is beautiful, I love it! I understood what you were doing with the falling petals/blooms lol. I’m excited to hear you are going to resin it because I was wondering how you were going to finish it. I don’t think that I could explain what I am doing while I am working...so I understand why you don’t talk while taping. But I do find the typed words go way too fast and a bit distracting. Do you think voice over would be more complicated? Might be easier then typing? But I truly have no idea! Lol Just in my head it looks easier! If not, maybe leave the words up a bit longer? Just a thought. Love your videos! I learn a lot! Thank you

I really appreciate your feedback Alison! I have started to do more spoken stuff and have leaned away from the typed. I really appreciate your watching 🤗🤗

This is fantastic! Did you prime your masonite board before applying your inks? Or did you just apply them on the surface just as you bought it? You should make more videos!
@ArtistTillDeath6 жыл бұрын
I applied the alcohol inks and alcohol directly to the board as I bought it (the only thing i did was cut it down to a 24x48). We have a lot of videos, just not many with alcohol ink. I love working with the medium and will definitely do more. Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment!!

I like it so much! Especially how you took your time for all fine detailing which really adds to this great piece. One question - is this a Masonite board and where did you get it with such smooth and ink friendly surface?
@ArtistTillDeath6 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much Farida! I guess that comes from hand painting with a brush for so long - it's a habit to want to add certain details. It is Masonite - it's basically finished like a dry erase board. I bought it from Home Depot in a large sheet and had them cut it down to 24x48 inch sections. You have very lovely pours, I always made mud with my acrylic pours - not pretty at all.

Yes! I couldn't remember her last name at the time of filming this but I saw her speed painting in a FB group and I was so inspired. I don't think she added gold to hers but hers was so gorgeous that I had to give it a shot (and I still think hers is better than mine). Thank you for commenting.

can you please tell me what paper product you are using that is that large

Hello Kim, it is a white masonite
@carlasmith21057 жыл бұрын
I love it. Was great seeing the evolution. I have two questions though. I don't understand the two pink "blobs" (sorry, don't know what to call them) that are on the upper right of the substrate. They don't seem to be connected to anything. What am I missing? Second question, will you resin this? Seems like it would just be even more beautiful with that.
@ArtistTillDeath7 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I just added those because it looked too stark with it just being white. I guess i just added them because cherry blossom trees always have falling petals so I just added falling blobs lol - artistic license? I do plan to resin over it. I will probably walk away from the piece for a couple of days and revisit it to make sure there isn't anything else I want to add. Then I will resin over it.
@carlasmith21057 жыл бұрын
Awesome! Hope you show your process on that. Can't wait to see the finished product....falling petals and all! :+)

Rob H just catching up lol. I'm compressing the videos we did for Halloween face paint now. Takes forever so I just spent the day catching up. I didnt seal it at all - it accepted the ink just like the ceramic tiles did.
