I'm an empty nester but I so enjoy your videos. I still try to keep a close eye on my shopping. I shop at Kroger and ALDI's My retired husband is a KROGER employee and that means we get 10% off KROGER products and 5% of very Thursday because we are seniors. I have saved as much as 50% when I shop senior day and with coupons and loyalty card. $300 of groceries for $150. Usually it's about 26% but it is a great thing. Our neighbor raises chickens and we are blessed to receive part of her bounty of eggs. A couple of dozen every 2-3 weeks. They are a very young couple and a blessing to our neighborhood. Thanks for sharing your real life!

We love Aldi so much! The prices are amazing and the quality is great too. In our area they have been running coupons in the in-store flyer a lot for $10 off if you spend $40 or more. I've been using those to stock our pantry. I get about $30 worth of groceries for the week and about $10 worth of extra pantry items, food storage bags, diapers (aldi brand diapers are half the price of Huggies!), etc. Glad you had a great Aldi experience :)

Totally understand the Mac 'n Cheese! I've always got either frozen pizza or crumbed fish in the freezer for those nights where I'm either sick or too exhausted to spend 1-2hrs preparing and cooking dinner! It's almost winter here in New Zealand so I think I'll be turning to easy meals more often now that it's getting so cold and dark here.

Sometimes they have great things at very low prices! Gardening items, camping gear, tools, etc. I used to always skip right by that aisle, but now I take a minute to look things over. Our Aldi just had really cool origami books with instructions, photos and paper for just a few dollars! Blessings on you and yours! liz in PA

You're gonna become an Aldi seasoning mom. I highly recommend the Italian seasoning as well. We have the garlic powder, onion, onion powder and garlic salt at all times! But seriously, these seasonings will take over your pantry. Also, be on the lookout for SEASONAL seasonings. :) Aldi is my favorite stores but the nearest one is an hour and twenty minutes from us. I'm so happy that you got to experience the joy Aldi brings you.

I feel the exact same way. .. we're all doin what we gotta do with what we got! ;) Our aldis is close and I do love to shop there but they have limits on things (only 2 doz eggs per family, etc) so it's hard for me to buy enough there to feed our family, so I end up supplementing from other more expensive stores . So happy for you that you have an Aldi near you! Keep your eye out for "sprouted bread" for anywhere between $2.99-3.99 a loaf. It's a specialty item right now, but if there is enough demand they'll bring it more often :) Wednesday is their meat special day and they usually have two different kinds of meat for a great price. Qtys are limited on that, so when't it's gone, it's gone. They also have grass fed beef for around $6/lb. Better if you can snag some when/if they mark it down 1/2 off :)

Great vlog and awesome shopping at Aldi- I wish there was one where I live in North Idaho! That grocery haul would have easily been $250+ here, how crazy is that! Thanks for all your meal plan ideas and your input. You're such a fun person to watch on KZbin and have become one of my new favs :) PS. Be careful eating tuna everyday because of the mercury content! I was obsessed with tuna for awhile and had to refrain myself because of that. Thank you for posting! Can't wait to see more from you and your family.

have you tried frozen banana ice cream? I like to cut the bananas up first and put them in freezer bags overnight, and the next day I put them in the food processor or blender until smooth and have healthy ice cream for breakfast!

Aldis is a good option for a big family. We're a family of 8 and spend less then 200 a week. :)
