I can’t tell you how much I agree with this video! I was allowed to homeschool 2 of my grandsons for 2 years (during Covid). I wasn’t allowed to after that. They are all now in government schooling. As a grandmother, I cover them in prayer. Homeschooling was one of my biggest blessings!

after I listened to the quote you read I thought: a good Christian should be capable to stick on a faith even in a world full of temptations. It is so simple to keep people in a buble. A good Christian knows when to avoid evil paths even in a wood full of darkness. Honestly saying I don’t think homeschooling is a good idea, but I respect every person’s decision or beliefs. I still find your videos very interesting even if my style of life is very different from yours( by saying this I don’t have the presumption to say that I do things better). I think you are a very nice family!

A good Christian should, but not necessarily a child. Children are very impressionable and easily influenced. God gave children parents to be their guides and protectors and teach them the right way to go, and when they are mature in strong in their faith then they will be ready to discern through the various ideas. Thank you for your respectful sharing of your thoughts though! Glad you’re here!

I agree with you on the government school. For a while I went to a public school because my mom and dad worked so I could not be homeschooled at the time. It was pretty good until Covid. I was constantly forced to wear a mask and distance myself from my friends. Then I got to 5th grade and it was terrible. Thankfully God got me through it but many terrible and vile things happened there. I never fell for the nonsense of LGBTQ or anything like that but everyone talked about all the time. My mom came to my fifth grade party and realized she needed to get me out of there. I’m now entering eighth grade in the coming school year and have been homeschooled since 6th grade. It’s been a bumpy ride but I’m so grateful I’m out of public school. Thank you so much for your videos!

Hello, I just wanted to say thank you so much for sharing this encouraging and beautiful video. I honestly feel as though it was made for me, the Holy Spirit was truly speaking through you! I am a homemaker and homeschooling mum of three in the UK, and lately I have been feeling very burnt out. I have felt as though I simply cannot do this task that I have been called to do, and as though I am failing in my role (which really I know isn't true at all). While we have homeschool friends, we have never met any Christians who choose to home educate, so I don't really have a sister in Christ to encourage me. While they are lovely and kind, all of the women in our church work outside of the home and send their children to school, and most don't really understand why I do things differently. So it can feel lonely sometimes. But I know that the Lord is by my side every step of the way, for He is our strength. You spoke of so many things that have been on my heart lately, and I thank you.

I’m in England where around half of the schools are Christian and connected to a church, and half aren’t. At school my children pray every day, go to church regularly, have collective worship with parents in attendance, and do religious education. If a child wants to attend a church school, usually they must be baptised (and confirmed if it’s a high school) For me going to Christian schools built up my faith more than my parents did. We are lucky to have this set up here in the UK. My local church also does monthly services for children.

How do you handle picky eaters in your household? I currently have a 2-year-old who doesn't like very much seasoning and a 5-year-old who doesn't like anything with any hint of spice/heat at all. I don't want to be a short order chef making everything to their liking, but I want them to try new things as well and I kind of like Mexican profiles. Do you try to plan around that? Do they just not eat? Sometimes I default to bread and cheese or something plain, but I would love to know how you handle so many children who I'm sure have so many different tastes.

I ❤️ your videos! I would love to homeschool again, my children go out to a government school. But it has less than 100 students and is a lot more conservative than orhers ive seen. The principal is very curious about christianity and often asks questions. They are very accomodating and try to hold up the standards we have set for our children. The high school though, not so much. But its the time we pray over our children and increase our communication with our teenagers. Unfortunately we have a very tight budget and last time i homeschooled i really struggled due to an undiagnosed disorder. My husband loves homeschooling too, but knows i didnt cope well and so wants to stick to our current arrangement.

I will be honest, there are very FEW churches that teach this still today sadly. And in turn there is no one set answer to this question. Orthodox is the only one that does this, but they are legalistic mainly. And on top of it, 1 corinthians 1, 10-13 condoms all denominations. So it will be up to you wherever you go to church to be the first to start, and probably the only one due to the feminists movement that had influence the church.

@Abiding_Home7 ай бұрын
We are in Tennessee and our land currently would probably cost a million where we are located in Knoxville, but we purchased it during the Obama recession for WAY less. It was also in pretty bad condition when we purchased it and we had to do a ton of clearing and a total rehab of the house. Inflation has really hit the real estate market here because we have a very conservative state and have received so many political refugees since COVID. You can find 8-10 acres about an hour outside of Knoxville for half a million, but that may not be with a good house on it, probably would be a small square footage fixer upper.

While I dont think home school is for everyone. Kids may go away from their faith in school, but its often a result of whats happening at home. Things often are not the result of schools. Kids bring what happens at home to school with them and share it. Essentially it falls on the parents whether kids remain faithful or not in those upbringing year and once they are adults, its 100% on the shoulders of the kids. The parents have the strongest influence on their children whether they are religious or not. My church believes choices come with consequences, both good and bad. Home schooling can have consequences for some kids that aren't good. Public school can be bad for some kids. I dont think most parents today are fit to home school kids, far too many people lack any personal accountability. In my christian faith, we strongly believe in the freedom to act upon your choices. I attended a public high school that 1/4 of the school was in my church and we are christians, which was quite rare because that often wasn't the case and we are large city over 1M. Most kids didn't leave the church. What happens at home, determines if a child stays active in their religion. However, even those in my faith home school kids. My friend was home schooled. I have nothing against it, but theres also a lot that public schools do have to offer. I have another friend in my faith who was home schooled and she was not the best friend because she wasn't very good at socializing. Yet it falls on the parents if they do activities outside the home to socialize their kids, to make friends, just as my other friend did. I am not for or against home schooling. I do think public school needs to be put in perspective. Most of society refuses to admit that what happens at home is far more important than at school. The point of a government school is to prepare for post secondary, not to raise the kids as many parents treat it as today. What I see in your videos is that your home has morals and values that you live by and thats important. You consider the wellbeing of your kids and home schooling is the best course of action for your family. I enjoy your videos because you share perspective and its always interesting to learn how others live.
