I love how your community is helping other families ♥️! When I had kid #6 all we got were questions like “another kid”, “are you done yet”, “you know what keeps causing this”? I guess we will always be the family with all the kids, even though 3 are grown and married on their Own and only 3 at home. And the kids are always questioned in school by teachers “are there anymore behind you”, “are you the last one”? Sorry, now I’m just venting. I guess that’s the consequences of having a large family in a tiny town.

Thank you for this! Don’t get me wrong, I love love love watching you make freezer meals but with a tiny freezer that kind of brilliance is unrealistic. Yet I’m a full time student, home with my six month old and have a growing seven year old who comes home ravenous at four every day. Time management is crucial and having some of the dinner prepped makes a HUGE difference. This is great inspiration! ☀️ Love from Sweden 🇸🇪

What I do with my jar salads is I take the left over applesauce containers and fill them with either the dressing or croutons then place that on top of the salad then I put the lid on fits perfectly and makes it easier for everyone to put just the right amount of dressing on their salads.

I'm happy to see you use your roaster....my son gave me one, like yours, for Christmas year before last. I finally pulled it out and used it Christmas morning to keep Breakfast warm so that we could use it like a buffet...it worked perfect! But I'd like some ideas of things to make...I had not thought of Chili....I love making big pots of soup, so that might be a great idea so that I can have extra to freeze....I usually freeze one or two containers, but a few more would really be nice.

You can roast your bones in the roaster, crank up the heat and when to your liking in color, turn down add all the goodies for bone broth. I also save onion peals and ends toss in freezer till ready to make broth. Celery seed if I have no butt ends from it, bay leaf, pepper corns ,onion scraps sometimes I add dehydrated tomato skins too. YUM LOVE bone broth!

I fry radishes. They are good. Different taste from fresh, I use them to substitute potatoes. Diabetic. First thing I do with radishes is cut the tops off before they hit the fridge though. They last a long time without them. They also only take 21 days to grow. Planters work in winter. 😁

I learned from you awhile back that radishes can take the place of potatoes for pot roast. Never though about it until you mentioned it, but I pressure cook ribs, similar to western ribs with turnips and potatoes then add cabbage.. no one can tell the different between the turnips and potatoes unless I tell them!

Your first meal reminded me of a inexpensive meal my family loves..the polish (I think it’s polish) meal haluski but we jazz it’s up..we do bags of cole slaw mix, peppers and onions and fry it up, add in a couple packs of polish sausage and some Cajun seasoning, onion and garlic powder, etc and then serve it over egg noodles with shredded cheese and a dollop of sour cream. So good, inexpensive and can really be stretched depending on what veggies you add-I’ve added squash, mushrooms, etc before as well.
