You have been such an inspiration to me. I had a tiny freezer, maybe 2 cubic feet, that couldn't hold much but I have been making double of everything I cooked and stashing it away. I bought my first stand up freezer last weekend and made 20 freezer meals last night. I have 6 more for today. When I get home from work around 5:30-5:45, it's usually well after 7 before we eat. Now it's around 6:30pm. I plan my meals out and one of my son's or my husband can pop in a freezer meal and I just have to finish up the side dishes when I get home. You have no idea how much you have changed my life with your "we can do this attitude". Thank you for being such an amazing teacher and sharing your knowledge. ❤️

My step Mom passed from the vid. She didn't believe in the vid. She thought it was related to end times. I understood what she thought and why but I made my own mind up about things and I didn't feel the same. She wouldn't let medical professionals intervene. It was heartbreaking. They even flew her to another hospital. Anyway I got away from my point. I watch you because you are all she tried to be. She wanted to be a Mom of a big family and cooked everything from scratch. Ground her own flour and made bread. She was amazing and help so many. I miss her and ask God to tell her I love her and miss her. She would have loved you. As I do! Your amazing! Love you so much! Bless protect and prosper this lady and her family Father God!

As a North Texan I feel I must tell you that you MUST eat BBQ while you’re here. One of my favorites is Lockhart’s in downtown Plano (a suburb north of Dallas). It’s a super cute area with lots of little shops along cobble stone streets and the best brisket you’ll find in all of DFW! There are other places with good ribs or good sausage, but you can’t beat the brisket at Lockhart’s.

For baked spaghetti I add some pasta with sauce to the bottom, add a layer of mozz and pepperoni, sprinkle in some red pepper flakes and top with the rest of the pasta, more pepperoni, and cheese. Makes it almost layered and so much stringy cheese to find. I have done ricotta or cottage cheese in that layer too if I have them on hand.

When you drive to Waco you will pass through a small German town called West- I suggest visiting and getting some great German food down on the Main Street and visiting the cute shops there as well as getting some wonderful kolaches! There’s also a Robertson’s in Salado that has amazing meat products and fun locally made items like spice rubs, jarred food- that sort of thing. If you want some great BBQ I suggest Pecan Lodge in Dallas. The Bishop Arts district in Dallas has some great small business shops that are fun to visit and you’ll be helping support small local artist 💗

I did a mega meat prep on Saturday, we got a new big freezer and it was sooo empty as it’s more than 3 times the size of my previous one. I bought 20 kg of assorted meat (chicken thighs, pork, ground meat, beef for stew) and prepped it al to go into the freezer. It was exhausting and I might have gone over board because I only cook for my husband, my dad and me but it relaxes me to have portioned meat and don’t really have to think about buying meat. 😊

@sherylm7772 жыл бұрын
I don't think the problem is your can opener. I started having trouble with my hand held can opener, so I tried several more expensive, cheap and in between. Kept having the same problem, then I realized they are making the cans thinner so they bend out of shape when you are trying to open them or the can opener can't grip the can because it's not wide enough. What ended up working for me was an old style little cheap metal one and an interesting Japanese more heavy duty rocking one. Got both on Amazon. The cheap old school one is $4 an change and the Japanese one is about $10. The Japanese one doesn't open as pretty, but it get the job done. I know those aren't ideal for the amount of cans you open at a time, but could be good back ups for little/big kitchen helpers.
