I don't know what is wrong with those people who keep criticizing your food choices. I am so sorry people do that. Like it's been said before . you do you❣ Others can do stuff their way. No need for anyone to criticize you for your choices. Unless they are volunteering to shop, purchase, cook, clean up, and deliver a meal for your family to enjoy them they can keep their criticism to themselves. I think you do a smash up, magnificent job. And I bet some of the criticizers could not carry half the load you carry. I appreciate all you do. You have taught me a lot and inspired a whole new way of doing meals in this disabled, retired grandma's home of two. We went from me hardly having anything to eat each day while alone because some days I'm too weak or sick to cook all day and then hubby would come home and eat ramen noodles if I wasn't up to cooking. Can soup and can fruit is not a great way to live. We don't have much food money and I have limited hours a week I am up to cooking. After watching probably 100 of your videos I now try and meal plan things we eat in my house and make semi bulk and now I can eat good everyday even when hubby is at work all day and I'm too sick to cook. Thank you, thank you, thank you❣❣ You are an inspiration.

We have a huge dry erase board on wheels that was very expensive for homeschooling... long story short my husband wrote on it with a sharpie! I was going to throw it out but my husband looked up how to get the permanent marker off and it said to use a dry erase marker and write over top of the permanent marker with the dry erase marker and wipe. repeat until the permanent marker is gone. IT WORKED! And amazingly my expensive board was saved. Thought i would share in case one of your kiddos gets marker happy. 😆

Do you have a garden? I learned what you do with banana peels. When you mentioned freezing bananas for smoothies, I thought of how to use the very ripe peels. Just pull into thin strip and cut into really small pieces. Dehydrate and pulse into a powder. Sprinkle into vegetable and flower beds. I forgot how much to use, but until you do research, sprinkle at least 1 teaspoon at the base of your plants. Water the plants well.

Thankyou so much we pretty much have the same thing to make it easy , freeze foods, and not a huge menu plan im a single mama I have only one 16 yr old at home I have two total BUT I run an in home daycare AND work at a nursing home on the weekends which leaves me limited time for food prepping and menu planning Sooooooo sundays after work I prep and prepare meals and deserts for the week so no cooking threw the week after work yippy it works out so well and then I make a list of meals that I can put together in a pinch for my daycare way easier. Like this weekend I used the slow cooker so I made chili , Sante fe chicken, sloppy joes, today ill roast brussel sprouts and asparagus and make cheesy broccoli soup .

For the most part, I had to learn about meal planning for the month by feeding my family and trying to simplify the process. I did learn about the concept of once a month grocery shopping from a book I read about 15 years ago called, America's Cheapest Family. At that time I was shopping bi-weekly. I did my 1st once a month trip by doubling my bi-weekly list and learning from experience from there. :)

I understand the meal planning and that but you r wasting a lot of money on pans and baggies that dosnt need to be done I'm a cheapskate and it only takes a few seconds to put a meal together I don't get it
@apfelprincess458 жыл бұрын
Watch some of the other vids on this channel. Jem spends a lot of time seeking bargains out, freezing them and saving time. Yes it takes a lot of time to buy groceries, make them into meals and then freeze them but that's only one day you might do that. Then you have time on other days because you just have to get a frozen meal out and dinner's ready for that day! I think for a lady with 7 children, she has her routine down to a fine art and spends much more valuable time with her kids than fluffing around in the kitchen everynight.
@cherylliston32848 жыл бұрын
I watch your videos all the time I just don't get why u do not coupon . I really don't understand the freezing sandwiches it really does not make senses to me however what works for ur family I guess. I can make tons of food for cheap in five minutes maybe your not organizing well . I'm not complaining but , it seems to me you r actually waisting time tat could be used for other things I'm sorry but seems a little odd too me
@SchnauzerMom8 жыл бұрын
She has her kids help prep the sandwiches for the freezer. They are also easy to grab when you are heading to the park.
@cherylliston32848 жыл бұрын
i understand that, it just really dosnt seem that it really saves much time and seems to me wastes alotot of room in freezer i have ten to fourteen kids at my house daily and last time a made a pbj sandwich took less than 30 seconds wasting time that could be used elsewhere just cause convenient not always better is all im saying
@SchnauzerMom8 жыл бұрын
+Cheryl Liston I guess her thinking is make it when she and the kids have time that way when she doesn't it's done. Works for her not for some.
@MrSkNoItaLl18 жыл бұрын
+Cheryl Liston We will never understand what everyone in the world does. I'm sure you do somethings that work for you & your family that doesn't make sense to others. My point is that it isn't fair to say it's a waste of time or doesn't make sense bc you feel like your way is better. It may be better for you. I don't have kids yet but it makes perfect sense to me that I spend 1 to 2 days out of the month with my kids cooking & doing freezer prep so I don't have to spend that everyday making sandwiches that's smart. You have a chance to involve the kids in cooking & making it enjoyable & a team effort plus on a busy day it less stessful, it's healthy,& less time consuming. If you're in a rush 1 day that's time that could be saved bc it's done & you have more allotted time for things knowing the family has something already prepared. It's okay to have an opinion however not at the expense of making seems as though someone else's way is inferior to yours ....not cool
@bechillas72258 жыл бұрын
You could make a sandwich in the morning and spent a minute doing that every day, or you could make 30 at once and spend 30 minutes doing it... It's not taking you more time to do it way. If you make it every day then you're still "wasting" the same 30 minutes its just spread out. Your comment doesn't make sense to me.
