I know you got it all sorted and then.... life goes on and on . That reel to reel tape player is what we used to record ourselves when kids, and send my Nana in England with songs, stories and jokes. Wow.. seeing that brought back sweet memories.... thank you for that. Love your chit chatty vlogs... and love that you are real. No shame in reality .. have a wonderful week.. God Bless. 💖

When we moved into our current house 11 years ago, we were just lost, young “kids” with a little 1 year old boy, and the couple leaving were a beautiful older christian couple. They not only cleaned the house, but had it blessed before they moved out. At the closing they wished us blessings. It was incredibly touching, and had a huge impact on our spiritual journey. It seems so simple. They could have left it messy, could have not shown up at closing, but they did. They showed up and they showed God’s love to 2 struggling strangers. I am forever thankful for them 💕

Especially considering they went out of their way to take photos and video and gained access to the propery. Who knows if they didn’t helped themselves to a few valuable things while they did that, and usually people first find out what happened when they need that specific thing, and then it’s sadly too late to get the thing/s back. It’s always important to report these things, and clearly this is a “company” that can’t be trusted since they have done this to several other people. They might not even come back next year, but might show up 2-3 years later to not make it too obvious it was them.

Problem is, movers could “rename” their company and not have a problem trying to scam others. If they are illegal (probably are) don’t have to register with state. So within minutes can change. Thieves like more than one entrance/exit to and from a home to have an escape route, and living in the 'sticks' with one driveway in and out can be a deterrent. Plus, who knows that God didn't show them something to make them think twice about coming back? We don't always know of all of the ways God has protected us throughout the day. On a good note, Benjamin sounded so cute singing in the van. He was just too funny.

They probably thought since “they’d be there all night” that you would leave them there alone and they could just ride off with all your stuff 😱

I totally followed your refrigerator storyline. I was shaking my head yes through the full story. We have the same thing....big family, tiny spot for fridge. It works because I have 2 in the garage. Have fun with the new home.

Wow that was a lot to digest. Everything happens for a reason. The rotten movers who left ya hanging allowed you to do things that made you more happy. Had a little laugh we trash bag moved once. It was quite the experience that was also last minute and wasn’t suppose to be that way. But hey it made some great memories.

I have always left my home clean and tidy and fortunately on most of the houses I have bought the sellers have done the same for me. I think it is courteous and wish everyone would do the same!

I got anxious the second you mentioned using movers, especially ones who happened to have a last minute opening. We've only ever had headaches and heartaches with moving companies. It seems to be a chronically sketchy/disorganized industry. Recently we just hired friends to do our move. They were in need of a financial boost, and arranged for helpers and uhauls themselves, and I felt much better about writing that big cheque to them. No broken dollhouses, lost Legos, crushed china... And no last minute stresses, changes, and headaches.

Yep. Give family the job and pay them. I do that with my nieces and nephews (now grand-nieces and nephews).

I'm sorry so many of y'all have had terrible experiences with movers, but there are great moving companies & workers out there that aren't like them. My Dad was a mover for well over 20 years in New Orleans & the surrounding area an there weren't many complaints about his crew if any. I hope if y'all have to move again that you have a better outcome than those prior.

So sorry that happened to you it’s so frustrating ! Moving itself is so stressful as it is let alone to have a company run you around like that. Glad it all worked out in the end and your in the new house 💕

When I move I would definitely expect it to be cleaned. Needless to say it didn’t really happen with the house we bought back in December. It could have been worse, but it could have been better as well. One thing I was taught is when you leave a place you make sure it looks better than when you first got there.

Report these people to the police! They sound like a robbery scam. Plus, no wonder they always get the "left over jobs" 🤔🤔

Yes, notify the police. Not only do they know what you own, they ALSO know where you're new house is located.

I cannot comprehend why someone would do something like that. You Jamerrill are amazing.

We have always written in the purchase agreement that they have professional cleans clean the house before we close. I definitely recommend that!

I think you still need to report it.

Reporting does no good at least when we moved from Ga to NY,$12,000 + ins. , no agency cared, we set up most of our China, and porcelain , glass ware on lg tables for ease, it became obvious they didn’t know what they were handling(we spoke ahead to owner) delicate furniture they refused to disconnect tops from bottom ,damage immediately ,long two days packing ,then the horror began ,we explained traffic patterns locally suggesting getting on NJ pkwy rush hrs as really rush ,response was not good so ny arrival was not 9am but 11. Move in bxs rm marked 1600sq ft walk in basement full couldn’t get up steps ,no appropriate bx in# rm , 4am they were still at it and in the end pieces missing ,furniture badly damaged and ins. denied . I would as we did some move some ourselves ,sell off the rest . Please govt take control of these thieves ……

One way to make your kitchen bigger is to build a bedroom in the basement for your older boy and turn that dining room / bedroom into a walk-in pantry. That will free up a lot of space in the kitchen to accommodate its small size.
