For those of us in California, we have a veritable "playground" photographically to enjoy. Sadly, many never take advantage of the opportunities in our own backyard. Glad to see you were able to come home with a successful shot! By chance, did that bird show up in the second shot?
@shanedignum2 жыл бұрын
Hey Dan! That bird was moving just fast enough to disappear in my shot. Thanks for watching 👍🏼

Shane, was that a grey card disc thingy that you were waving around? Do you have an interweb link for it, please? Many thanks. 👍

In your photo, the reflection of the mountains in the pond is at least one stop brighter than the mountains themselves, defying the laws of physics. A reflection of an object can never be brighter than the object.
@shanedignum2 жыл бұрын
Maybe you’re not a photographer 🤔 but I used a Split ND filter to hold back the light on the mountain range to even out the overall exposure, which made the reflection in the water brighter than the mountains.

Your web site is full of terrific photographs. This just seems inconsistent with your other work (in addition to being a pet peeve of mine). And yes, I am a photographer and I do know how to use split neutral-density filters.

hey, great and a pleasure to watch! what is that tripod head? I´ve been using the large linhof head for a while now, it works great but yours looks a lot lighter? thank you david
@shanedignum2 жыл бұрын
Thank you! It’s produced by Luland, you can find them on EBay. It’s lightweight and very secure 👍🏼

Very different from what most photograph in that area, very good. Were you on Lone Pine Creek or Owens River?
@shanedignum2 жыл бұрын
Thanks. I was along the Owens River.

Sorry for the question if you've covered this before, but what video camera do you use for these vlogs? And what settings do you use on that camera? Also, for the photos you take and then show in these videos - are we seeing a contact print, an enlarged print on paper, or a scan of the negative? If it's a scan, do you do much post-processing? Great channel. Thanks.
