My hubby is a cattle farmer in SW Ohio. We appreciate you, and others, for supporting the small family farms. It’s a win-win all around.

We also buy half beef every summer in July. It averages 4-5.00 per lb after paying for meat itself and processing. It's sooooo much better tasting than anything from grocery store.

Really nice quality beef but for me I'd be too nervous about power outages. (My last neighborhood had frequent outages, several close to a week. )

That's why you buy a thousand or two thousand watt generator that you can use for just that reason you can pay $300 and get a thousand watt generator that will run a refrigerator and freezer to keep you going and if you get an inverter generator you're even better off no surges

Hubby was watching with me! I think we should stick to our meat market only becuz we are 2 vs your 6-9 people 😂 but if i could figure the amount to fill up my cube deep freezer I'd be game! We are strictly timber creek meats now tho. We quick bought from Walmart for Thanksgiving to make meatballs...umm no timber creek wins 100% lol I never new anything different then store bought so thank you! Funny as I grew up on a farm, but I can't could the times grandma and grandpa said back when I was young lol I

My husband and I love your videos but when they are fast forward he can't watch because he has epilepsy and they cause him to have a seizure.
@PsychoSusieHomemaker72918 күн бұрын
If you see that it is fast forwarding a lot, pause it, go to the settings, and then to playback speed. You can slow it down. My oldest son had seizures, and we had to watch what we did, but his was mostly a defense mechanism. When he got stressed he would have a seizure. It was like an opposum.

What do you do with the bones?
@sharongypsydove608018 күн бұрын
You roast them in the oven on cookie sheets until they get nice and brown and then you put them in a lge roaster oven..fill w/water over bones and low and slow cook for 24 hrs.. add a little bit of water as needed and then you have the best beef bone broth you've ever had in your life you can also roast them in the oven and then add them to a very large pressure cooker and do on that way I just like the low and slow method it just seems to get all the goodness out of them. Some people add all their vegetables and onion scraps and stuff that they saved up in the freezer and add that to them but I just like the pure beef flavor.. then you strain all the bones or whatever you have in it and then you can it with your pressure canner it is nourishing and healthy and so much better for you I do the same thing with any kind of chicken or turkey carcasses
