Man I know exactly what you mean. I've been playing the piano for 20 years, I've played at museums, I've played at concert for thousands of people, I can play vivildi renditions and Mozart for days. And just by looking at these guys less than 2mins in I already know that my most difficult complex piece i've ever played and spent years mastering is probably their 5min warm up routine.

Hey dont sell yourself too short, being able to convey the emotion required to play classical pieces is amazing in itself. It's a different genre, but these guys being able to do so in jazz fusion at such level of complexity for sure is outta this world i agree though lol. These guys are on the top of the food chain of today no doubt.

MonoNeon is a badass bass player who also went to school with drummers like Matt Garstka, Sean Wright, and Jp Bouvet. Very well rounded

im a drummer from Mongolia. i feel you man!!! in my opinion, average, us, could probably play something similar if its a task. we could practice it for like 2 month for a show or smth. but the thing is they are out of their task man. they are just messing with those tempos those riffs. this video humbled me too. and also it feels great to have the same feeling as you :D amazing!

This was maybe the best reaction video I've seen. The performance was so perfect that you got an existential crisis from how good the performance was.

Larnell wrote that song. Compare this performance to his original album release where he had a couple of different Snarky Puppy bandmates featured on guitar and keyboards. THAT performance by Larnell was EXCELLENT.... but this one is just so next level. Thanks for the react!

Great reaction! You should react to more Cory Henry stuff, or Mono Neon (the bass player).

The musical director playing keyboards with the hat and glasses on is Robert "Sput" Searight Snarky Puppy's first drummer. The majority of the audience are also musicians.

@MegaBay101 the percussionist is Nate Werth, also a founding member of Snarky Puppy. He and Sput started The Ghost Note Band as a side project. And the audience is FILLED with not just professional drummers, but some of the best in the business with a bunch Grammy awards and nominations between them! Truly awesome video.

Dude, get some muscle relaxer for your neck! Gotta get that head bob going on to the funk. Don't worry about how good these guys are, just be as good as you can be and enjoy the experience. I learned long ago that no matter how good you are at your instrument, there's a shitload of others that are as good or better. Music is supposed to bring joy, don't let it bring you down. ✌️

you good bro!! there are different styles, but you just gotta practice improvisation and creativity! just like how you practiced to become a great guitarist, you just gotta do the same with other styles. you got it we’ll be rooting for you
