ROY and 4th, 2nd, 2nd, 2nd, 1st, 1st, 1st, 2nd, 2nd. 9 years of total dominance unmatched in NBA history. Best shooter ever, possibly best passer ever, most clutch performer ever, all while playing in the toughest era in NBA history. 🐐🦄

The steal on Isiah was pure Larry Bird genius. Look at how Bird baited Isiah into throwing it in. Bird pretended to be guarded the man at the top of the key. You could see Bird timing it the whole way.

Hilarious! Watch that again and focus on Bird shoving his way through the crowd when they storm the floor. He’s like a freakin’ video game character on cheat code !!! Whenever I see that clip, I focus on that

Bird would average a decent 30 to 40 points but he would also rack up a solid 10 assists, 8 rebounds, and 5 steals. It would depend on the team though. If the team was able to take regular passes from bird and work like a crew they could easily wipe the floor with the entire nba. Just those football style shots alone would cause panic attacks with some guys in the nba as bird knew how to quarterback shit so far that even the best teams would be flabbergasted at how far he could toss the ball. That would certainly make most of the guys in the nba complain about how much of a skill gap there is between them and him. Not even lebron would be able to beat him.

More like 15+ rebounds and easily walk away with the MVP.

If you don’t think Larry Legend would dominate in todays game then you know nothing about hoops. He would average about 35/10/6
@rustydaboyrobot

I have virtually the same numbers....but with more assists. 35/10/12 And that's an average. 6'10" who can shoot literally anywhere on the court....he'd still get his teammates involved and average double digit assists. Though, you'd see an attrition of teammates...till tbe ones who had a high drive, work ethic, and physical and mental toughness remained.. . And that leaves out pansies and low effort, floppers. Sorry fans. 😄

Bird already has 10 rebounds per game over his career, so I'm thinking it's even higher in the 2023 game......let's say 13. And again Bird already has 6.3 assists per game over his career, so in 2023......11 assists. 33/13/11 sounds about right to me. If Russell Westbrook can average a triple double 4 seasons in a row, I think Larry could hit these numbers.
@BD-uw1kq
@BD-uw1kq Жыл бұрын
Lol 😂 I think every one of your numbers is a little light, especially the rebounds. If he got 10 before, when everybody really banged hard, wouldn't it be more like 15+ now considering how hard he worked to get every single one before?
@rustydaboyrobot

@@BD-uw1kq I was predicting more perimeter play, but I stand corrected. Larry would post and play off the ball like always. He'll get those 10-14 rebounds a game.

Great reel & reaction! As far as Larry today? Nobody could guard him when defense was on. Today, Larry'd probably quit because there was no competition there for him. He'd already done everything he could dream up. And then to have no "D"? 40.... maybe 40+ Let's not forget, Larry knew how to draw a foul. He'd have a field day on the line. 2+1...2+1 ect.

Larry came from a very poor background. He and his siblings' where lucky that the grand parents could put them up when the family had no money. Telephone and electricity were luxury back then many of these young people have no idea what poor is. He was lucky to have a good mind to get into college or even get out of high school.

If Luka, who is Larry Light, can excel in today's game, why on earth woudnt the genuine article dominate.? He would probably take a lot more 3's too.

I think that the players today would get beat down back in the day with all of the contact back then. On the other hand, most of the old-school players would foul out in the first half of the first quarter. Bird's mouth alone would get him in foul trouble... And then fouled out. lol

I'm thinking 35 points per game considering Bird already has a career 24.3 ppg with 10.0 rpg and 6.3 apg. Also remember the 3 point line was introduced in Bird's rookie year and most NBA coaches (including Boston's) were not fans of having a 6'9" small forward taking shots from outside, they wanted the higher percentage shots closer to the basket. Still not many players are in the 50/40/90 club which Bird was the founder of.

It was definitely a more fiscal league then not to mention thrash talking. And back then in your home forum in the playoffs the fans would storm the court to end the game if you we’re winning
