Totally agree with the weddings. I've been asked to fly to different countries for weddings and close friends have been shocked that I won't go. It's a lot of money and time and then on top of that, I don't really like weddings that much.

I just love how they asked Larry whether or not you bring a gift to an out of country wedding. He didnt even answer that question, he just said “don’t go”. This man is absolutely hilarious and I can’t explain why. Any other person saying that I wouldn’t find nearly as funny
@emanuelmota72173 жыл бұрын
I think it's because Larry absolutely MEANS what he says - he's not saying things to be funny, he just HAPPENS to be funny because he says what we're all thinking but don't have the balls to say out loud (or it goes against current societal taboos). Ex - Larry refusing to say "thank you for your service" to a young soldier when everyone else at that family gathering already said that to him. VERY funny (AND Larry has a point, as usual).

Larry's laugh at destination weddings is exactly the laugh I made when I was invited to one. Also, it reminded me of the Seinfeld episode when Elaine goes to Sue Ellen Mischke's wedding in India out of spite. That's probably the only reason I'd go too.

It also reminds me of George when Jerry told him he had tickets to the Super Bowl: Jerry: You take them George: You paying my hotel and airfare to Miami? So in order to use these I gotta spend $1,500 bucks. This is a bill for $1,500.

Regarding the dessert (or marble rye, whatever) you brought to the party and nobody touched: I agree you can’t just take it back, but, you can say to the host, “Oh, gee, nobody had a bite of the _____ I brought - do you guys like _____? If so, please keep it to enjoy later, but if not and nobody else wants to take it home, I’ll be glad to take it back.” As for weddings, destination or otherwise, I don’t go, unless it’s family. They’re much too long, I don’t enjoy eating at a big round table with 9 people I don’t know, and I hate having to watch the obligatory video montage of the bride and groom from babies up till the engagement, and then the proposal itself that was done in public and filmed, and then sit through the groom singing a song to the bride and vise versa, then the speeches, the cutting of the cake, the first dance, and the drunk uncle (there’s one at every wedding) making a fool of himself. Every wedding I’ve been to I couldn’t wait to be over. So - no more - send a gift and regrets.

@cactuscosyusa3 жыл бұрын
My feeling is if you take something to a potluck and no one eats any you can ask the host if they want to keep it, and if they say no you can take it home again, but you have to ask.

I think it’s a service to the host bringing it home. That way they don’t need to find room for it in their fridge. I think this can save a lot of food from eventually getting thrown away too.

Ehhhh that depends about the destination wedding. If it’s in the Bahamas and you live in Florida, it’s not only not far but not too expensive either. And as far as Europe, yeah if you’re going to Italy or something it may cost a lot - not $15,000, Larry is seriously out of touch here. I’m a spoiled brat and I wouldn’t spend more than 10,000 on a complete trip to Italy. - but there are quite a few places out of the country that aren’t pricey at all. I’m JUST saying
@xjimmy225x6 жыл бұрын
