I always thought this was really cool footage. GO LD!
I do not own this footage and this particular one is not permitted under fair use as I am not commentating on it. I am simply uploading it cause I think it's fun and I am a fan. If this video does ever make any money which at the point in time of uploading it I don't think it will but if it does I will donate it. I also have a feeling it might get taken down but I still feel like I have to try.

Are you ignoring Curb? 95% of that show is improvised with him only devising an outline of the episode and scenes. He’s got impeccable comedic timing, great comedic acting ability, and in my opinion one of the funniest to ever do it. I’m not a Seinfeld guy, I think Curb is where he truly shined, especially in the early seasons.
@ivok9846
@ivok9846 Жыл бұрын
@@Felis-Concolor well, it's a good outline, surely, but he's no actor, that's for sure. that show is not funny because of his acting, but because of what he is and does. he gets into weird details and then twists them: "why are we doing this instead of that". but he can't do what Seinfeld did. he can't write something, recite that on stage and make people laugh. all the people in the audience.

I like how you can tell how early in his career this is. At the beginning of each joke, he's telling it nervously, almost like he's testing the waters in the audience. Then, as soon as he gets confident, his speech speeds up, and he gets loose. Confidence is the key to success in this industry.

What are you babbling about about? He's punking on Cousin Brucie who's sitting right there in the audience, the delivery is impeccable, there's nothing "nervous" about it at all. This isn't when Larry was "just starting out", this was Larry after he was working regularly (and this looks more early 80s than late 70s, so it's probably around the time of Fridays). I think you're projecting your fantasies, his stand-up delivery is exactly the same as it would be years later, and even now. Go look at the Mel Brooks tribute. Same delivery.

I remember the show Fridays with Larry and Kramer. I always thought fine ass Melanie Chartoff was the inspiration for Elaine. But, i guess it was really Carol Leifer.

He could've faked his death and come back as "Old Larry" and no one would've known it was the same guy😂

Way way different. Woody's standup was absolutely brilliant btw. I hear Larry's was good but haven't seen enough to know.

Nothing like Woody Allen, obviously you've never heard any Woody Allen standup. Totally different material, totally different delivery. Woody Allen doing jokes about Cousin Brucie and Chuck Scarborough? What dopey suburb do you live in, James? lol.

He’s brilliant…took his anger and made millions from it…..that chip on his shoulder from childhood eventually paid off….wise to hook up with Jerry, Elaine, George and Kramer…..the perfect combo for hysterical humor👏👏
