The downfall of the GD'S was in 95 when they indicated & locked up all the leadership gov's ,regents , & other positions of authority GD'S lost all structure frm that day on it's been all downhill & complete mayhem for the GD'S since then & another thing is the destruction of the project buildings that spreaded out GD'S all through the city this the reason of so many lose & renegade gangs these days ..sad to say Larry would have 0 effect on these kids today if he was released..as a matter of fact I would be scared for his life ..NO STRUCTURE, NO GUIDANCE..CHICAGO IS DOOMED!!

White society keeps them in poverty by denying young black men jobs . JOBS,especially decent paying jobs are VERY scarce for young black men in Chicago . That’s the real root to the dysfunction in the community. The average white household has thirteen times the wealth of the average black household. White people intentionally set it up this way .The U.S government also has a hand in all of these drugs being in the black community. Keep us unemployed/underemployed,flood the hood with dope,alcohol and guns , watch the inevitable dysfunction and instead of paying reparations for slavery and oppression or actually helping to fix the problem , you lock em up.

Yes sir King Geno Colon free that man too..most of the GD brothers who didn't fold in the 1995 "Operation Headache" GD 39 along with Larry in the bogish practices use to convict them. Then used the IDOC held the hostile takeover by orange crush in 1997. And now there's no programs for rehabilitative outcomes for incarcerated in IDOC and the terrible food service which mainly consist of mostly soy bean & turkey products servings for the incarcerated.

Your description of walking up and down Morse was spot on . Some people would think it was sweet getting off at that Morse train stop in those late 80's and 90's and some of them 2000's like oh its coo this up north, Nope you will get pressed around there ( no different than out west and out south). Harassment of women and getting pressed in most hoods was/is normal activities (which dont make it right) but its pretty common then and still goes on now. I was across the pond from Vienna in Shawnee, totally forgot Hoover had been there at one point. When I was in Shawnee, Vienna was known to be one of the sweetest joints in the state, with how lax everything is there I could only imagine how sewed up someone like Hoover would have had it. In Shawnee, one of Angelo's (4ch) right hand guys basically ran the whole joint, and thats a medium-max disciplinary prison(22/2), dude was out his cell whenever he wanted, drinking real booze, got the best trees, real world clothes, all that in a disciplinary joint, so I could only imagine what someone with juice like Hoover would have been getting up to in a minimum security prison, back when the prisons were still open.

Y'all do know that thang was nostalgic. 7-4 brothers meeting up from all over in a unified front!! Especially in 1993 when we marched from 35th to city hall. We marched for better healthcare and there was a school strike in 1993. No one had their hats cocked, no wore their symbolic jewelry, we got to 27th the Dearborns but the MC'S ain't won't no problems. Infact they were cheering us on. 10,000 7-4's. U was proud to be a brother and sister of the struggle. Proud to be about a change of Growth & Development. The ones who wasn't right was just eradicated! No violations just cast out. That's how the pocket Pocket Town became New Breed. Bcuz on member I ain't gone say his name was eradicated so he took a few off his guys from off 71st n east end with him to the pocket and the became BGN. At that time guys 18 n older used to be on that night life . Going to Steppers clubs, that's how we met Snoop Dogg cuz he celebrated his birthday at the East Of The Ryan on 079th n Drexel, but err night we was at different clubs, The Godfathers, End of the rainbow, 68th n Halsted, the glass house on 079th Halsted, Mr. Rickie's on 55th, sweet Georgia browns on Stony island. We all wore perms wasn't no braids cuz braids a pull ya hair out with a perm. Some had Jerry curls, like Magellan from Jeffrey Manor, it was another pimp GD he rolled in a conversion van with like 5baddies and they was proud to be on his hip. We also battled BDS back then due to Minister Marvel, minister Chris, Minister Lucky. Infact they used to pay GDS to flip, just like FBG Duck said in one of his songs. Life was fun and in the jails to life wasn't that bad.... GDS had 8gallery in all the max sec joints Menard Stateville, Pontiac n Joliet. The organizations put the new guys in the cells no the C.O.'s. shyt got boring we use to make up activities spade tournaments, weight, vocal, yard, activities. And May 24th D-Day we use to eat and invite other organizations bcuz we had a lot of food. If you ain't got a GED or highschool diploma to azz getting in school. I got 2 GED cuz I didn't want no one telling me to go to school. Guys who graduated got a carton of Newports for being successful. But the powers that be had to fckn that up. They was like j Edgar hoover he hated to see blk n brown brothers coming together, so he infiltrated them. Like Malcolm x, martin Luther king, black Panthers and other pro black organizations. And actually the Vice Lords was on that in the late 60"s n 70's they were unified too. Jeff fort n the BPSN was on that too. Brother Jeff being invited to the whyte house!!!!. Like Larry said by the year 2015 it's gonna be like in Warsaw Ghetto,and the Mayor is scared of me....on the Resurrection album j prince n geto boys.

Arthur was the Regent for over east. 071st n east end, n 075th Dorchester. And sum people had disrespected our picture taking..... Just flat out disrespected us. Folks say don't fck wit nobody but then 5 guys.....when it was over , it was like the "Warriors Movie" we only wanted them. It was like 350 7-4 on them 5guys. We fckd them up but we didn't over-beat em for disrespect. But they did get touched up . The 90"s was the shyt. U didn't have to be over tuff just be yourself folks .

If you really think about it, if they didn't lock up all the chiefs, the city wouldn't be as messed up as it is today. The whole reason the people in the street conduct themselves the way they do today is because they lack any type of leadership or hierarchy that would hold them accountable. Sure you could say that "well the gds were going renegade before they locked up hoover" but what about all the other gangs? You made a point that finballs used to conduct themselves in a more respectful manner, thats a direct result of leadership, once all that leadership and hierarchy went away, the streets turned chaotic. Sure Hoover might have been losing control, but you still had some type of leadership in those renegade clicks, after they got locked up it all went to shit. I know you always wanna preach the narrative of how the streets are always bad, and gangs never did nothing for anyone, but if you really look at it thats only true past the 90s, look what gang banging did for Richard J Daley, and the Irish as a whole. Once the government realized that gangs were the tool marginalized people could use to generate social mobility and institute change, thats when they started cracking down on gangs, and thats when gangbanging turned into what it is today. Hoover was no different than the majority of these politicians, except Hoover was black, and we both know the government doesn't want the black community having any type of power that would institute change in America.

So posing the question would the city be better without the organization. The bigger question is would the city be better off with city corruption? Would federal guidelines that set massive incarceration of BLK men to prison for cocaine smuggled in by officials be in a better position? For one to step up and regulate the chaos imposed, is enough for freedom.

Great Content, keep pushing it out!!!. When you ask, would Chicago have less murders without GD's are you talking same history without GD's .....or no gangs period? Obviously without gangs Chicago would have less murders but with gangs just without GD's i think its impossible to say but assuming we have the same history just minus GD's my best guess is no. When you look at how they developed many pieces came together, some by force, some by bandwagon, and some by politics/economics etc. Imagine these pieces never come together what does that look like....Is it like now, is it like LA when its literally Block to Block for some of the smaller sets, or does another person who is not Hoover unite the pieces. Maybe he uses only force and intimidation to unite the pieces and has no time with Politics. Speaking politics we no that is why Chicago mayors office went so hard....they will let us kill ourselves and take out donations but when we give our illicit money to political opponent's they throw us under the jail.

Then when you no longer see a need for them fantasize about how much better things would be if they simply didn’t exist . He really doesn’t want blacks to exist period , the GDs are just a faction of black people from the roughest backgrounds ,he knows it’s not politically correct to say this about blacks so he just pinpoints a specific group of blacks.

@cadillacblack6488
@cadillacblack6488 7 ай бұрын
There was no 70% tax. That was the government misrepresenting facts. As a shorty just starting to campaign, moms on welfare with 3 or 4 mouths to feed, or worse, moms on dope and grandma trying to keep the kids fed and a roof over their head, you don't have any money to start your own drug operation. None is required, because as a standing member you can go to your coordinator and tell him you want to work, and he will give you a pack to sell. At first it's usuall just $100 worth at a time until you get to moving it fast enough and they feel you can be trusted to handle larger amounts. This is what was called 'Nation work', because it was distributed by the POAs. Nation work was issued on a 70/30 split. $70 off of every $100 was turned in. Not 70% of the profits, 70% of the gross revenue, in business terms. The net profit for Coordinators was somewhere closer to 25 or 30%, depending on how much was sold in weight and how much was sold in bags. In the 90s it wasn't hard to move enough between school letting out and 10pm to make $150 for yourself, and without any of the responsibilities that comes with running any business - procurement, packaging, security, collecting all the money that's owed, counting it up, keeping the numbers straight, etc. That 30% meant that a young man could make sure him and his younger brothers and sisters could go to sleep everynight with a full stomach, go to school with decent clothes, and take some of the load off of moms or granny. The government had no interest in 'dismantling' the Organization until they realized that GD was more that just street thugs killing each other and selling drugs. The knew that if the old man could get mobilize and unify the black vote in Chicago, the Democratic 'machine' that has dominated city politics was no in danger of being voted out of existence. The old predicted it himself years before it happened when he said, "When we finally go public with what we have been teaching in secret, they are going to lock me up and throw away the key, but I'm willing to make that sacrifice for our children who have yet to be born." 21st Century V.O.T.E made headlines in 1993, the year of the Peace Treaty. Joe Biden drafted and sponsored, and Bill Clinton signed into law, the 1994 Crime Bill that enacted the mandatory minimum sentencing laws that made punishment for distribution of a cumulative amount of 50 grams of crack a mandatory life sentence if you were a principal in a "drug organinzation", unless you were a first time felon. Coincidence? Not at all, because Larry Hoover and the GDz were mentioned explicitly as they went about promoting and garnering support for a bill that was the catalyst for the private prison industry and the mass incarceration of 3 generations of black and brown men. And for the record, GDz that walk in the Vision of Growth and Development always have and always will Love, Honor, and Respect Larry Hoover. You can't claim to be a GD if you don't. Gangster Disciples is dead, was dead long before Larry publicly denounced it. The government and their agent provocateurs, most of whom are completely unaware of their being pawns in the game, are the only ones working to keep it alive. Growth and Development is alive and well, constantly and continuously striving in our struggle so that the injustices suffered by Larry Hoover were not suffered in vain,

Its two type of things in Chicago Illinois inner city that's SECRETIVE. And that's The KILLERS and Homosexual's. If you know a person doesn't Look Like he Lost his Testosterone he Look all Man BUILT but is Secretive THAT MEANS HE IS ONE OF THE KILLERS who shape's the way Chicago Illinois MOVE. That's why you Got, Disciples and Black Disciples, The Disciples The ones who did The Killing that reshaped Chicago Illinois. The Disciples are still around but it's always only a FEW OF THEM, But it's alot of King Shorty Freeman Black Disciples. Shorty Freeman was Heterosexual and a Disciple But King of Black Disciple., 2 different but the same Group. That's where mental health program Professionals FAILED AT! They are afraid of what they don't know that they Don't know. And In the Disciples Don Dirky Acklin is a DON of the Disciples, who crowned shorty freeman and Larry Hoover a King for there own Groups it had nothing to do with Disciples. Shorty Freeman took that Opportunity but King LARRY HOOVER never did and that's the problem people chasing the government that's why they Kids getting killed.

The recorded audio was a violation of Larry Bernard Hoovers rights. Everyone back in those days and times remember this clearly. Iykyk but a lot of these new age people and people doing documentary's on Larry and or the podcasters don't include these facts because they don't know. It's is a violation to do to Larry or any human being who was locked up in those days and times to listen in on someone's conversation and or put a listening device,tape recorder on people to listen in when inmates have family and friends to come visit them in prison. They weren't supposed to get away with the fact that the audio was illegal in those days because a inmate has the right of privacy when in prison and visiting with family and friends. The only reason the state of Illinois won this case is because back in those days it.was super racist and the judge, the prosecutors, federal agents were all crooked, corrupt and worked as a team to illegally convict Larry even though it was a violation of his right.

The 90"s also violated our 4th amendment rights with the stop and frisk laws, the age 17 being a adult in cook county as well as other violations in our urban communities. And the tape recordings was bogish but still allowed ...
