I think the beef goes back even further. One of my enduring memories from the NCAA tournament was in 1991 when UNLV beat Georgetown in the second round. Man, Mourning was never gonna stay. He didn't even want to play here to begin with. He didn't sign his rookie contract until a day or two before the regular season began, meaning he didn't even play a pre-season game. Mourning was a great player, but I'm happy with what we got in Rice and Geiger for him. I was a huge LJ fan and hated that his back was holding him down.

Hell, maybe it was both ? This is a long standing rumor here in Vegas , I went to college then as well and everyone knew the players back then. They were active in "campus life " lol.
