That's nice to know :) What I appreciate about Conan is despite his crazy maverick energy, he's one of the most respectful interviewers on TV. I didn't realise until someone else pointed it out but it's true. He's interviewed some celebrities when they've been right in the midst of a scandal and been polite as anything :) I also appreciate how he's taking Larry's advice with grace and fun here :)

I never saw Larry have as much fun in the studio as he did with Conan, there was a definite indulgent father/mischievous son vibe there. For those of us who didn't know, Larry had a lifelong morbid fear of death and of what comes after. That's why I've said "RIP Larry, you have nothing to fear from death, he'll be delighted to meet you." Our loss is the hereafter's gain, safe journey Larry.

I worked in the old and decrepit CNN bldg. in the horror show area of Sunset Blvd. twice in my career - first in the mid-90s where my advertising agency occupied three floors and then again from 2013-2016 where I had the privilege to occupy Larry King's old penthouse office. The elevators are atrocious - one is always broken so often you might get stuck on a floor and have to take the stairs. There are still a lot of TV people there but in the 90s there was always an LK guest riding up and down with you and I met so, so many characters, including The King himself. He was such a nice, humble human being. He will be missed.
