I've done a lot of reading about health, fitness and longevity and one thing that keeps coming up over and over again is that in studies of people who live into their 90's and beyond, it's remarkable how many of them are light hearted. I remember reading one study in which the author stated in his summary that there was "not a grump among them". Negativity, hate, anger, stress are all things that are physically toxic to us. This man has shown us the way to live life as well as a Saint! He had a kind heart and he had an absolutely incredible sense of humor, one of the funniest men to ever live.

My god these guys are so fast mentally at such an advanced age. My Grandpa died at 75 FIFTEEN YEARS before Rickle's current age of 90 (he's 88 here) and his mind was gone from Alzheimer's when he was 70. This is beautiful. Age sometimes just is a number!

I am 46 years old, and I am honored to have lived during Mr. Rickles' lifetime. I was too young to appreciate his humor in the 70's, but thank God for KZbin because when I learned about him I once spent a month watching KZbin videos of him on the Dean Martin Celebrity Roast and other programmes. I feel so humbled to have been skewered by Rickles during one of his live shows. I’d seen him live a few times and his show in his later years was basically the same each time with minor changes but I noticed he aimed at two areas near the front each time to interact with people and I managed to score tickets in one of those spots. Had he come again I’d have tried to get tickets in the other spot but he passed away 😢 … in the other spot he’d get someone to come on stage!
