I'm a 45 year old male Jazz fanatic/wanna-be musician from Texas and when I discovered her through other reaction channels it was like I discovered Miles Davis again or something. She is the most unique vocalist I've seen in a long time. Eivor, Floor Jansen, Aurora... I wouldn't have found these artists without reaction channels like yours. Keep it up. I'm really enjoying this. Subscribed... good lord this woman rips my heart out in the most violently gentle way I've ever experienced. The themes and ideas that she writes about aren't even touched on by most adult 'artists'. She makes me question my definition of what an artist is and looks to convey.

Hi Larry - I just finished watching all three of your Aurora reactions, and I am so enjoying watching you fall in love with her and her music! She is really something special. Aurora is the total package - singer, songwriter, musician, dancer, producer/arranger, choreographer, and an absolutely lovely human being (and she’s just 25 years old!). She will often perform her songs quite differently - sometimes with her band, other times stripped down to just her and one instrument, a cappella, with full orchestra, etc. - so it is definitely worth listening to different versions of the same song. Although she is amazing live, her videos are mini-masterpieces as well. You might enjoy reacting to two versions of the same song in the same video to get a fuller picture of her talent. A short list of original songs: Runaway - Nobel Peace Prize concert and her music video Through the Eyes of a Child - Nidarosdomen concert, my recommendation Live Stripped - VIVO UK Lift: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eXfddquLg5aBbqs It Happened Quiet - Nidarosdomen concert, but I'd recommend the live at The Current version as well: kzbin.info/www/bejne/b4aQf2mCpt-Xf68 Churchyard - Live on KEXP Winter Bird - Nidarosdomen concert and her music video Murder Song 5,4,3,2,1 - Nobel Peace Prize Concert Lucky - Nidarosdomen concert Little Boy in the Grass - Nidarosdomen concert The Seed - Music Video, HAIK Concert The River - Music video, Live in Bergen 2020 Exist For Love - Music video, Daydreamer - Music video She also does some awesome covers: Life on Mars - David Bowie Believer - Imagine Dragons God is a Woman - Ariana Grande Across the Universe - John Lennon Teardrop - Massive Attack

This song and so many others Aurora has gifted us, always results in me being a sobbing mess, and I am grateful and humbled by it. Every single time, hidden emotions become revealed again, unlocked and released, each experience is so deeply healing and beautiful. Sharing connections through these moments, seeing and reading how another person is reflecting responses so similar to my own, amplifies the significance for me. I'm Swedish, so this smarts a bit to admit, my two favorite female artists are both Norwegian. One of them is Aurora, "the earth fairy" that you have already discovered. The other is Angelina Jordan, "the barefoot princess of jazz". Angelina won "Norway's got talent" at the age of eight (8) by singing jazz standards (to see her winning song search for: Angelina Jordan - Summertime - 2014). She has since then only gotten better and better and is now fifteen years old and signed by a major label as their most important new artist. (To see her sing an original song at fifteen, search for: Angelina Jordan - seventh heaven, or Angelina Jordan - Million Miles, to see her cover some of the greats I can recommend her versions of I Put A Spell On You, Good Bye Yellow Brick Road, Crazy, I'd rather Go Blind, All I Ask or How Great Thou Art among many, many others. I assure you that you will be astonished by this young lady too. Another deep rabbit hole I'm afraid...

@@larryshair Hi Larry, you can stay stateside, she lives in LA now... 😉👍 And as I already stated in my original post, you will be absolutely amazed by this wonder of the world. She has the ability to take any song she wants and give it her own spin (she has arranged all her own music since the age of seven, the studio musicians and orchestras she's worked with affectionately calls her "The Boss"). She always performs barefoot (she met a little girl working as a street vendor in the middle east that had no shoes on when she was six and after giving this girl her own boots (her favorite ones...) she vowed to never stand on a stage with shoes on until all the children n the world had a pair of shoes of their own (hence the moniker "barefoot princess of jazz). She is a published author (the youngest in ever in Norway), she speaks several languages, plays several instruments and is humble and sweet to all around her. She is the sole driving force behind her own success and has helped raise millions of dollars for charity. Her fans, of which there are many, are called "angels" and they are devoted to her (I count myself among them). Her latest releases are two covers, the first one is Yesterday by the Beatles and the second is Billie Jean by Michael Jackson. And speaking of Michael Jackson, she was invited by Quincy Jones to sing at his 85 birthday celebration, and he later exclaimed that she is the biggest natural talent he has seen since Michael...soo... 👍😁

Aurora is pure magic✨ to get a deep dive into her artistry and spirit I would highly recommend to check out the concert “Haik”. A specially the song “The seed”. The concert is a part of a Aurora tribute day, arranged by a great Norwegian radio host. The concert was actually a surprise , where they gathered her family, friends and fans in the woods where she spent a lot of time during her childhood. It’s a great one cus it captures everything she does and is perfectly through both her amazing performance, but also through an actual dialog with the audience. Stay true, stay safe✌🏽

Now you're hooked and you will never be free - don't worry it's a great feeling! I've been happily enthralled since hearing her song for the John Lewis Christmas advert in 2015. I listen to her every day and no matter how good I'm feeling she always makes me feel even better. Her interviews are comically magical and magically comical - which is fun.

This concert has 12 songs, only three are covers, the other 9 are Aurora originals. Every song is pristine and perfect. Winter bird is another you should experience- no, you must see the entire concert. You will be blown away!

“It happened Quiet” Live at the Current. Just her and a female guitarist who sings back up. Talk about getting lost. Aurora is always reaching for that which cannot be touched. Something that hides in the white lands. In the land of daybreak. For a moment alone with the unbeknown. Behind that door locked by the pale blue.

I do not see any videos where you react to the MOST PERFECT PERFORMER in the world. He will move you to tears, he will shock you, he will make your heart soar, you will never be the same again after watching Dimash Kudaibergen (27) from Kazakhstan perform. As with Aurora - he too, conveys every word of every song with his body, hands, facial expressions, and when it comes to his voice - well, this is a once in a lifetime phenomenon and I doubt we will see again......My suggestion is that you start with his performance in the Chinese version of The Singer - he was invited as an outsider to perform and he won the entire Chinese audience over with his magnificence - and from this event he was (and is being) discovered by the rest of the world. Most of his performances are performed live and each one that you watch is more perfect than the one that you watched before. So I am adding a link to his stellar performance of SOS from the Singer competition which is from Gloria Wu's very informative channel - kzbin.info/www/bejne/qpfChnx3hLyZd7c ☮❤️ Sea Point, Cape Town, South Africa

Hi Shireen! For sure, I will be sure to add him as one to watch! I will work on fitting some other artists that others have recommended as well. I can only add about 3-4 reactions a week, so hang in there with me! Thank you for taking some time to comment!

AURORA, is a Norwegian singer and songwriter.(From the same country as Angelina Jordan). Among artists and in the music industry the Norwegian singer AURORA is synonymous with quality, and she can fill a record with masterpieces time and time again. Many others are glad they manage one hit. Billie Eilish said in an interview that it was AURORA that made her become an artist and were inspired after listen to Aurora. She is a true genius artist who does not make plastic / bikini music, but is true to real creative art.

Start with Bohemian Rhapsody on AGT age 13, or Feeling good age 10 👍 I think that is a good start to get a Feeling, but she got 155 songs on KZbin so it is a big rabbit hole ❤ from age 6 to age 15 👍

Another great reaction for great performance. Whole 1h Nidarosdomen concert is a pure magic. I am also happy you like to going deeper and deeper in this rabbit hole as I love this artist and I like your reaction too ('discovered' Aurora this year I think in 1Q2021 and listen to her music since that time). And about music without words - it means music talk to you and music is a universal language :).

I didn't know about Aurora until she featured in a video game named "Sky: Children of the Light". The creators of the game used her image to create a "Spirit" avatar of her and used her songs to create a concert with their own graphics and the story behind the game. In the game, the is a scene of a battle, with children and light creatures dying and this song was used on that scene and the afterwards of the war. My God. I cried and cried, and still cry every time I heard this song. It is a masterpiece. The game brought me to her and I am hooked. Aurora is a light spirit. I am so grateful to the game for immortalizing her. Look it up. It is amazing.
