Great reaction!!! As for the 999 explanation, 999 is 666 upside down. It represents taking a negative and flipping it to a positive. It’s what Juice WRLD was all about and his message still lives on with millions of people that he touched through both his goofy and uplifting personality as well as his music.

If I recall he died before he could record anything and never actually got to meet EM and EM bought the rights to a song he was already working on and just laid verses on it. Even his mother sent out a thank you to EMINEM saying he would have been so excited to know he was on an EMINEM song because he was a huge fan. That break with Mike Tyson isn’t in the actual song, just the video, but during the whole thing with Tyson you can hear the lyrics from his song Just Don’t Give A Fuck from his first album under Dr. Dre the Slim Shady LP. The line they play is “Bitch, I'm coming out swingin', so fast it'll make your eyes spin You getting knocked the fuck out like Mike Tyson. The proof is in the pudding, just ask DeShaun Holton” Another Mike Tyson reference is the line about lending an ear and he holds out the ear in his hand referencing when Mike bit off a chunk of the guy’s ear.
@CSpad2 жыл бұрын
(Partial) facts. Lol It was also mentioned that Juice was going to be heading to Detroit within the next few weeks to lay a verse with Em. When they shot this video is also when Em did the interview with Tyson on his podcast Hot Boxing.

Don't ever apologize for the rewinds. The majority want to see your genuine reaction & have you be able to digest as much as ya can. Em is always using a ton of old school hip hop references in his double entendres. So its gonna be tough for ya to catch everything, but you'll still get the surface level meaning. Gotta figure many of us like me, (45 now) have over 35 yrs of acquired hip hop knowledge. But, like I said, real Em fans just want genuine reactions. Fantastic reaction, watching you try to catch all the bars was hilarious, even the most dedicated Stan's had to watch it at least 5 times over. You should definitely check out 'I need a Doctor' with Dr. Dre, Eminem and Skylar Gray. It's a track where Em and Dre dedicate verses to each other, and show appreciation to what the other person did for them. With Skylar's vocals, it is one of the best songs that the pair have released together. Em had a hard time getting signed, mostly because he was white and nobody wanted another Vanilla ice on their hands. Dre took a big gamble with him, and it most definitely paid off. Em reached levels that nobody could comprehend, and Dre resurrected his career as a rapper and producer after being called "washed up" for a few years.

That's one thing I like to recommend everyone who begins their Eminem journey. Throughout these 25 plus years, almost every song he makes is like a sequel into the future. So you pick up all these little Easter eggs over the years and notice the relevance when you hear his newer stuff. For example, that part of the video where he was talking about I don't know if I'll be like this tomorrow, and it shows him in a mental hospital? Go years back to his video The Real Slim Shady, (where he is in fact in a mental hospital), the only one in there who's under 30 jerking but the Viagra is not working LMAO

Meaning of Godzilla ~ Eminem refers to him being an alcoholic. When he is under the influence of alcohol, he goes out of control and becomes a literal Godzilla. It is more of Eminem’s internal pain trying to scream out of his chest. Considering what this man has been through in his life, it’s almost impossible to fathom the fact that he is still alive. The rapper furiously tries to provoke the notion of the gold diggers trying to get close to him. Then, he wishes them to suffer from Insomnia as we all know Eminem admires the talent and not the beauty.) #RIPJUICE🌹

So this music vid didn't come out till a few weeks after.. but there is so many "Easter eggs" in the video. Like the a bleached hair guy in a striaitjacket around the crystal ball part, nodding to his song "My name is"/"monster" and maybe "real slim shady. Next to the a fifth of vodka nodding to "My Name is"/"Stan". The pile of cds he was standing on were EMs albums while those floating albums were of Juice WRLDs. Passing out fliers as an actor dressed as a young EM. The car scene with him in the trunk looking at himself seems like the cover one of his older album "the slim shady Lp" or may be the gf in the trunk in "stan". Most of the other things imma let Knox fill you in. Lastly the ending Em says " look what i'm planning" is a nod towards his collab with the artist Logic on the song "homicide"... good fun song you should check out too..

Another great reaction! I love how invested you are in the songs you are listening to, and how you manage to both break down doubles entendres and appreciate the humor and overall themes of the songs as well. I didn't even catch the potential meaning of the Legos until you mentioned it. Also, I love the pausing, as I'm here to hear YOUR thoughts, and the more pausing, the more commentary from you ;) A few extra notes: In the song "Just Don't Give A Fuck", Eminem says "you're getting knocked the fuck out like Mike Tyson". That song is playing in the background of the scene in this video where Em gets punched by Mike Tyson. You can hear it ever so slightly if you listen closely. That whole set is also based on the cover for Eminem's first studio album, "The Slim Shady LP", that the song "Just Don't Give A Fuck" also happens to be on. The car is the same, with the trunk open, just like on the album cover, and the sky is also the same colour. Another small note: In the part where Em is standing on a bunch of CDs, the CDs in the huge pile are all his own albums, but the CDs that are floating around in the air are Juice Wrld's :)

Mike Tyson said in an interview, that he may have accidentally connected with him with that punch.

The stacking chips reference. Is a meaning of stacking chips as in money, while other people are barely making it in their carrier.

If you're gonna listen to Juice WRLD, I think a good songs to start out with would be, "Rich and blind," or "Empty." I think they display to vibe and tone of a lot of his music pretty well.

em only put a decent amount of effort into this song at first, but then juice died, and em wanted to honor him, and put his absouloute EVERYTHING into the making of this song. i find that so admirable

Keep pausing and keep going back to hear things again! I know the Ems, music so well. But it always feels new again seeing it through your eyes (Or hearing it through your ears😛)! I was grinning and ear to ear and laughing with you all the way through this! I kept waking up my dog and almost waking up my fiancé. Your just brilliant and I always look forward to seeing you’ve posted something new! ☺️ You should do a reaction to My Chemical Romance - Welcome To The Black Parade. I honestly think that you would really really enjoy it

fun fact: a lot of people think that Marshall is homophobic... the person that is "him" in a straight jacket is trans... they are also the person that learns all of Eminem's moves for the video so that they can then teach him... they work together quite well and often.
