Like the video and great job on the descriptions of each item. The price of Dim Sum have shot up the last few years like everything else. Took my family of 4 to a new local Dim Sum place in town, even though the prices are cheaper than yours, it was $150 and got like half as much food as a year ago :).

I didn't know how Tim Ho Wan Las Vegas was currently, but i was so disappointed on my last visit to Tim Ho Wan in Irvine, the good quality was downside a lot compared to when it was opened 2 years ago. I heard that Tim Ho Wan in Irvine was already sold to one Philippines fried chicken food chain stores group.

I love Chinese food with a passion but unfortunately, due to hospitalization this year with congestive heart failure, I am now on a very strict no salt, very low sodium diet and the Chinese food is out for me, at least for awhile. It all looks so good, makes my mouth water seeing it.

Tim Ho Wan didn't impress me when I tried it a few years back in a local branch here. It was overpriced and felt that due to the Michelin attracts people to try it. It was a friend who took me there and had no idea it was quite a well known name in HK.

Yeah, I would not pay double the price for little changes. Having said that, it seems like a number of dim sum places have increased their prices to match Tim Ho Wan's. So, for me, there are just too many other restaurant options & better deals out there. So sadly, I actually almost never go for dim sum anymore. Where I live, it's $8 (~$6 US) for har gow. Yep, for 4 ordinary dumplings, it's $2 for one dumpling. 👍 vid.

It was cool to see your impressions of how they elevated the food. To get a Michelin recommendation, they have to feature the freshest food/vegetables. I agree with you in that a problem in the Michelin and AAA rating systems is that they often value the ambiance and service equally or more than the food. On the contrary, though, you'll find experiences like you found here. Though expensive, I hope that - for a special occasion in Vegas - that you'd consider going to Wing Lei (1 michelin star, Wynn) for their tasting menu or Bouchon (Venetian, 1 star in Napa) for their brunch. I enjoy your videos very much, but you're giving yourself a lower ceiling by judging higher end places by their fried rice and california rolls.
