That looks like my neighbors front lawn. Hogs have moved back into our rural neighborhood. They did some late night shooting the other night and I think they thinned the herd some. The others haven't been back. Perhaps we get a little relief, at least for a little while. Thanks for sharing. Happy New Year!!

Really enjoy your videos, Brian. I think I'm a bit over 100 miles east of you. We saw a real decline in hog numbers after the big 2021 snow storm. They are finally starting to make a comeback and the hunting is picking up again. Did you see anything similar where you are?

@Spartan490-b1q Yes, but I associated their vacancy with the droughts. The digital night vision and thermal products have improved in performance as prices have declined such that more and more folks have them. Not arguing, just sharing my thoughts...but saw the same decline.

Any reason why landowners does not use the hog traps ? there are very good in the marker,

Have you ever run traps? Then you know they are a lot of work an not a lot of enjoyment. If you don't run the trap yourself, nobody will put traps on your property for free, not around here. They charge you for the service and sell off the hogs they capture, but they release all the hogs too small for sale. I hunt on several properties where either the owner trapped previously or have had trappers in the past.
