For me, it's just: - make sure you did at least pay attention to each class to get the mental models/concepts around the topics (if you don't the latter steps will be harder) - if the topics that will be out are specified that's just a bonus - understanding > memorizing; memorizing only comes for key terms or mnemonics Works every time for theoretical-based open-ended questions

Another tip I have is dog earring your notes. This way I can have easy access to difficult math/physics problems that I NEED to review before a test. It saves soo much time, compared to frantically speed reading your textbook and all your notes to find things that you actually need to review.
