A suggestion I use to hide my cords is called CordMate cord covers. I found mine at Home Depot and they were relatively inexpensive. The cable has a slit all down the side to pop your cord into and cut with a little hacksaw to length. You can get corner pieces to make your turn to the wall outlet. They come in white, but can be painted to match your decor.

Maybe that bulletin board could be for vocabulary and definitions that Jen shared about at Hello Lit Con. Adding to it from your read alouds throughout the year.

You could do a mystery puzzle incintitive... Where they remove pieces for good behavior and then when. It's all revealed they get the treat underneath...

Bridget, I had the same situation with cords. I hot a PVC pipe from Lowes and ran the cords through it.

I think at the end of the day they’ll play with the tape more than the cords. I would always peel tape off my desk if it was there no matter what. I’d say get a cord cover for the wall and run it across the desk and maybe use the command Velcro to secure it down

They kick you out? Our school is available to us 24/7...there were some nights I was there until 11 before school started.

Every school is a little different depending on how the overnight security and custodial staff has their routine. My school site is okay with us staying until night custodial is done, but then we have to go cause the alarm gets armed.

Here is an idea for your extra board- have students decide on a theme each month, and have them create motivational quotes to encourage positive class culture. I enjoy your vlogs and channel overall 😊. Your down to earth personality is refreshing to see in an age where I see so many teachers who are losing their enthusiasm for the education profession. I start my 31st year in the classroom next Wednesday, and I hope you will continue being an awesome teacher for many years 🙌🏾👍🏽👩🏻🏫!

I had to do the same with my room this year. Clear out as much as I could to fit 28 kiddos! I got rid of bookcases and invested in wire utility shelves that had rollers on the bottom... Blaine would have loved it ❤️ 😂. I have slowly been replacing things in my room with wheels on the bottom. Im not getting younger and things are getting heavier...lol.

Thank you for the free planner Bridget! I have purchased one every year and don’t know what I would do without it! It is so wonderful to have the vlogs back. You are so inspiring just being you and doing your thing. Take care and best wishes for the start of your new school year! We are in the thick of the school year here in Australia but your planner almost has me excited for 2020 already!

I love your videos. You were a voice in my ear during my internship (student teaching) and I followed along ever since. I’m curious about what you will do with the math board. I like that all your units are on display-what goes in the blank rectangles?

I hope you will give us an update on the wooden stools as the kids use them and you see how they hold up. I am down to 4 of the metal stools and I am not replacing them with the same old thing. My students have bent the legs by leaning back and it drives me crazy. I've bought all brands and the metal stools just don't last very long. Also, nothing to do with this video (which is great BTW) but update on my 43 folder system, it has been in use for 3 days and has changed my mindset about paper flow! How did I go this long w/out implementing this system?? I've already gotten a teammate on board as well! LC
