Both of us have to pick a Starter Pokemon, level it up to the same level, and then battle against hordes of unlimited wild Pokemon until our Pokemon faints. Whichever Starter Pokemon has gained the most experience at the end wins the Pokemon competition for their trainer! Definitely a risky one. Metronome can either give you soft-boiled and give you a second wind after you transform, or it can get explosion.

I honestly think this concept can improve alot. I think you guys should do battle frontier like battles (3v3) where you have you both pick separate teams and battle until you lose so strategy is a major way of winning

One thing I was concerned about was how you guys would approach it if you picked two different Pokémon with different growth rates, since that would mean they'd have different amounts of EXP even if they were the same level. Fortunately, the only pair that ended up having different Pokémon (Ursaring and Sawk) consisted of two Pokémon in the Medium Fast category.

@@teamfossil6312 Yes, but since all pokemon are initially obtained exactly at whatever level they are, and different experience groups require different amounts of experience to reach any given level, if 2 pokemon are of different experience groups, and encountered at the same level, they would have different experience accumulated

There's a setting that standardised the exp curve in the Universal Pokémon Randomizer. They could just use it if they want to redo this challenge.

What probably happened in round 2 is that since John’s dugtrio had better stats than mikey’s dugtrio he had an advantage, but it did not matter because he got poisoned.

The spoink would have been a better choice in round one. It evolves at level 32, which would have happened on the way to the route, and its move list has better coverage, plus rest to remove status conditions and health...

Getting Mew with transform might have actually been the best move since it would have never ran out of pp. Mew would probably take 1 or 2 damage every fight but that's still stretches out your moves by SOOOOO much. Though... thinking about it. Transform give you that pokemons stats besides HP so that could have also be BAD....

Also, Transform does loose PPs when you use it. So, what's the difference with a move that just OHKO the ennemy? Which is, considering the massive lvl difference, concern a LOT of move, if not all (except immunities of course).
