Ok, For the record In gen 2, Lugia and Ho-Oh have their signature moves, as Level 1 moves. But in every other generation, this is not the case.

@@DryBones271 I'm not sure the concept of pokémon randomizers was around or at least widespread back then. The first two Hoenn games came out in 2002 and Crystal was released in 2000. Fun fact though, the website Serebii was created in 1999 the same year as the release of Gold and Silver. That's so old that broadband wasn't even invented yet, everyone still used dial up.

@@cheskitten7097 it's pretty simple: in the opposite version and crystal, ho-oh and lugia _can't use their signature moves_ ... because they're _too high level and forgot them_ yeah, seriously. they learn a move every 11 levels, and are level 70 in the opposite version and 60 in crystal. so by the time you encounter them, they've learned six to seven moves, meaning they've lost their first two to three moves. and when their signature moves are the _first thing they know,_ well ...

I have an idea! You could turn this into a game of bingo, where you two have the same randomized ROM, and the same card. The other person can see which Pokemon you have seen on the card, but you can stay quiet and not tell where you found the Pokemon, just as you do here.

Suicune roams in Gold and Silver along w/ the other two dogs, but in Crystal, after chasing it around the region a bit (in the overworld, you see it and it runs off) it eventually comes to stop in the Tin Tower as a static encounter. And they did this in HG/SS too.

First time I played crystal suicune was chilling on the first route. I remember it vividly because I just got my starter and had no balls to catch him. Not that my lvl 5 pokemon was gonna do much. Also I do believe it just ran off when I got close. It didn't happen the second time I played through the game... but I always thought it was strange and never found out if it was just a glitch or something. 🤔

That Lugia reminded me of all those times where I tried to catch it and for some reason every single time it wouldn't stay in anything but a normal Pokeball for me. I don't know why but I guess I'm just one of the luckiest people ever when it comes to catching Lugia specifically. I've played so many times through games where you can catch it and it really happened every single time.
