For the m18 version you’ll need to press and hold at the same time the negative and inflate button to reset

I literally thought about tossing mine but then I stumbled upon this video. Tried the reset and it’s way more accurate than it came from factory. My Audi RS3 tires it makes it way easier. 44 psi front, 39 psi rear. Each tire I set the target 1 psi higher and it ended up 0.5 psi lower than set. Before I had to set the front tire target to 46 and the rear to 41. Yet it read 0 when not connected. Before the reset it was at 1.5 psi when not connected.

Thank you! Mine was at 7.5 PSI and needed to be reset for sure

I bought this a year or two ago to fill up an inflatable toy or something, thinking I wasn't gonna use it much but man was I wrong I use it weekly almost. Mine has been doing this, I assumed there was a reset but like you I didn't have my manual anymore, so hopefully this fixes it. Maybe I'll report back tomorrow.

Is this likely to work to make their built in gauge more accurate even when it properly reads zero when not connected to anything?

Hey excuse me, what type of charger do you use for those m12 batteries? I've read TERRIBLE reviews on the Milwaukee original charger, was contemplating buying a Chinese counterpart. I'm so confused ahah
@lastbesttool Жыл бұрын
I mostly use a Milwaukee combination M12/M18 fast charger. Zero problems. The only complaints I've heard about the original M12 charger is it only works with M12 batteries and most of us run both M12 and M18. So Milwaukee should have included the combo charger.
@VespertiliKildem Жыл бұрын
@@lastbesttool thanks for the reply, so you're saying you had no problems with Milwaukee charger whatsoever? Well good to hear! I was wondering whether to buy one of those or a ryobi one.

My M12 will not stop at the target pressure. Do you know a solution to this problem?

I've never heard of that. Sounds like a Milwaukee service center issue. Good luck.

I bought mine new on marketplace I set it to 40psi the inflator says it’s 40psi I check it with a tire gauge and it’s 25psi I’ll try this and hopefully it works I think the issue is it should have the inflator that sucks on with the latch like other inflators I also have the smallest m12 battery I should have bought the m18 inflator and put the 6.0 battery I have

I've never understood these. A hot car in the middle of summer is probably the last place you'd want a standard lithium battery unit. No car charger adapter or even a cord to hook up to a wall outlet. I guess it makes sense for milwaulkee- helps sell more batteries.
@lastbesttool3 жыл бұрын
I use it daily when overlanding to keep my Firestone airbags at the appropriate pressure for the terrain and payload. I use a Viair compressor for truck tire pressure adjustments while off-roading. I think my truck cab gets no hotter than southern job sites in the summer. And I've not heard of any spontaneous combustion issues with the Milwaukee batteries. Some of the less dialed-in brands and knockoffs, yes, but not the major companies.
@johnjingleheimersmith92593 жыл бұрын
@@lastbesttool Ah I wasn't talking about explosions, more batteries degrade horribly in high heat. Top operating temps are around 60C and heat easily gets to 80s in a car in the summer. Would seriously shorten the lifespan of lithium-ions. But I suppose explosions could happen if you live in the SW like near Arizona or SoCal.
@lastbesttool3 жыл бұрын
@@johnjingleheimersmith9259 Ahh, good point. My mistake. I've been pretty rough with many lithium batteries across a handful of platforms, and finally decided that I need to push my gear and replace it when it fails. Some batteries die on the vine just sitting on the shelf so their time is limited regardless of use or storage practices.

I'm having the same issue with pressure reading. I'm doing the exact same thing with power button and plus button three times. Mine won't reset...... any other suggestions?
@lastbesttool3 жыл бұрын
Over time, my success has been hit and miss. When it resets, its right away. Pop out the battery. Run it for a moment. Do almost anything different, and then try the reset. I'm not sure why the finicky reset, but both mine are being picky now. Plus when PSI is off, it's off by more than before. Usually 3 or more pounds.
