Glad the diesel heater worked out for you! Once they start throwing error codes it’s a whole new world of chasing down gremlins trying to figure out what’s tripping them. But when they work, they take glamping to a new level!

Have you ever thought about putting the hardcover pop up tent on the roof of the cab instead of over the bed? Could open up easier access to what's in the bed, and keep you further away of people or big animals wandering around below. Any thoughts on that as an option? Thanks. For my purposes it would be very handy, though not sure of its pro's and con's. The possible impact on average mpg does concern me, though I don't know how big that would be, and how much that could be minimized by aerodynamics.

Try doing. A hut hike. Snow shoe in, camp at a cabin. Tons of fun. A fun overnight hike is the hike to Conundrum springs. Day out, day in. Sit in the hot springs. You can do that one summer mostly, unless you’re feeling froggy then you can do it in the winter.

Good stuff. I never heard of Peak Refuel before so I just went to their website. The nutritional profile on the labels is incredible. Light on fiber which for me as older isn't ideal, but incredible on every thing else. High protein and healthy fats, moderate carbs, the healthy complex kind and almost zero sugar, and reasonable calories, loaded for bear for healthy sustained energy and nutrition while out and about. Packs a real punch, but a healthy one. Not bad. Much better than most nutritional profiles I see out there. Because of the lack of sufficient fiber I probably wouldn't use these as a regular meal replacement for my daily life, unless I got my fiber elsewhere regularly, but for occasional meals at home, or to pack for trips out and about, one day, a full weekend, longer, fantastic and I would absolutely use them for that. Thanks for sharing.

They make those Howl Campfires like 3 buildings down from where I work. I see one of their vehicles there every once and awhile and recognize some of the employees from their IG stories. When I first started seeing the Raptor there, I thought "wtf is a howl campfire?" I've been following them for awhile now and know it's some super bougie firepit I'll never afford. 😅 Sure is a cool product though.

lol @ you gear junkies. I sleep inside my Toyota Hilux (removed seat and rear seats) sleep on a matrass and inside a 3 part military sleeping system. If I add my 100w cheap ass heat blanket I can easily sweat during a -18 Celcius (0 Farenheit) night. easy does it.

Theoretically, but I probably wouldn’t. There will be some minimal exhaust leak I’d guess - the engine does need intake air, which it’d just pull from the cabin

So $1300 for the Howl Campfire (plus tax and shipping) and it weighs 40lbs, plus a full Propane tank that it will blow through in 5-6- hours (bring multiple tanks if you're out off grid for several days), just to get a little campfire heat? Might be time to invest in a better camera setup Mike! This one finally pushed me over the edge of being too frustrated with the darks and brights and not being able to see lol. Adjust your settings and balance or get a camera that’ll manage it better like an IV or S3!
