I have big love/hate vibes here. As a graduate from FIT and a 2000s NYC resident, Bobby is both inspirational and systematically pedestrian. This culture of "screen printing" blanks and passing them off as something real has run rampant and perpetuates industry ignorance. He couldn't tell you the difference between a 30 singles knit or a 40 singles. Probably couldn't even distinguish a knit from a woven. Ability to create a tech pack? Nope. Seam types, grading for sizes, textiles, trimming, finishing, and tolerance. Garment dyed, piece dyed, fabric dyed, yarn dyed.. print color separation, under base..nope. The Truth of the matter is that these "founders" or "creators" wouldn't be shit without people that know what the fuck is actually going on. Funny how these guys fail to mention them in their memoirs.

the guy has been in the industry for 15 years so im sure he's aware of all these terms that you have typed out here in an effort to flaunt your own education. Anybody who has read enough on the topic or gone through the same graduate program as you can tell you these things. Not everyone (including you) can do what he's done which is build a community, build a brand, build something new and unique . moreover he is pricipally an artist and most of the hundreds designs are graphic based so even if took away all the "people that know what the fuck is actually going on", he'd still be on top.(plus you think after designing tees and working with screen printers for 15 years he cant create a fucking tech pack) What people like you do isnt special , its hard and demanding sure but not special. What he does is. don't attack him without knowing anything about him even if your jealous. This guy has a streetwear empire, what do you have?, what gives you the right to judge what he can and cant do?

@@arjunmakart Wow, I hope you wiped your chin after that response. Unlike you fam, I am in the game. Been in it 20+ years and used to drink cheap beers with Ronnie F and all the degenerate NYC cats from the late 90s, early 2000s. Guess what? contrary to your pedestrian assessment, there will always be those that know more than you and I'm here to remind you that you have zero business speaking on any of it. Sit down son, ya washed. You talk like I'm spitting platitudes, yet what you fail to understand is that garments, textiles, pattern making, grading, stitch type and seam type selection is a vastly complex process. Your head would explode if you or any asshole like you had to have a 4 minute conversation with a manufacturer. What people like me do is paramount . We are essential. The fuck out of here with this "what we do isn't special" Without us, people like Bobby would be nothing. I've read his book twice, I suggest you do the same. Cool humble cat. And lastly no, no fucking way do I believe he could build a tech pack.

@@themichaelbrandon regardless of what you're saying they worked hard to get to where they are now. You clearly have no idea on how hard it is to get somewhere in such a saturated industry. No wonder 20years+ didn't do you any good, you still hre criticizing successful people.
@themichaelbrandon4 жыл бұрын
@@sofianemorceli8666 on the contrary, every one works hard. We all hussle our asses off. I don't know a single lazy ass motherfucker in the space. I do have an idea what it's like to grind it out, so fuck you for thinking I'm regular like you. The point is, without a collective team of experts doing all the work behind the scenes, non of it would be possible. I'm just a champion for the real talent that actualizes one person's idea.
